About the role

To offer the most exciting, top-quality, and fresh food experiences, we are recruiting an experienced, full-stack restaurant industry expert to lead the building, management, and development of Huuva’s kitchen operations in Germany, starting from Berlin.

As an Executive Chef / Kitchen Operations Lead, you are responsible for

  • Building, developing and managing robust and scalable kitchen operations based on data, customer feedback and own observations to meet the quality and kitchen operations targets.

  • Operational management of kitchen operations projects, including but not limited to new kitchen openings, new restaurant brand implementations, procurement, and process development.

  • Enabling the efficient scaling of Huuva’s kitchen operations in Germany, starting from Berlin.

  • Creating Huuva kitchens as motivating and safe workplaces for talented venue managers and kitchen crew.

  • Hiring, training and leading a team of venue managers and supporting them to lead their kitchens independently without you micro-managing every detail.

  • Identifying and delivering the most interesting food experiences to customers by implementing up-and-coming culinary trends and hero restaurant brands in Huuva kitchens.

  • Communicating Huuva OS feature requests and feedback from the kitchens to the product team and vice versa.

  • You know the ins and outs of setting up and managing professional, high-volume kitchens.

  • You are a people person who speaks the same language as top restaurateurs, and you enjoy coaching and managing your team of venue managers and kitchen crew.

  • You’re an all-rounder restaurant industry veteran with a creative, forward-looking mindset and a never-ending hunger to learn.

  • You can rigorously prioritise your work to get things done at the office and kitchen.

  • You drive for continuous improvement in everything you do and are not afraid of getting your hands dirty, even in kitchen work.

  • You have a high bar for your work, and you demand the same from your peers and team members.

  • You thrive on rethinking how commercial-grade kitchens can perform more efficiently with top quality, safety and customer experience.

  • You have an excellent eye for detail in satisfying and surpassing customer expectations day after day.

  • You have excellent communication skills in English and German.

  • Deep understanding of up-and-coming culinary and restaurant trends and excellent gastro industry connections in Germany.
