If you're energized by the intersection of marketing and community, and you care about both the numbers and the people behind them, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
- Execute growth strategies across community-led programs and events: Partner with Program Managers to increase attendance, engagement, and retention - including creative approaches to drive participation across live, virtual, and global events.
- Build scalable playbooks and campaigns: Create repeatable frameworks that enable event hosts to promote events effectively.
- Own event topic development and content strategy for a global community audience: Develop resources and guidance that empower community leaders and instructors to execute high-quality, on-brand experiences with minimal hand-holding. Proactively identify and connect facilitators and speakers who drive meaningful participation.
- Optimize the registration and engagement funnel: Identify and act on opportunities to improve conversion from registration → attendance → repeat participation.
- Analyze performance and deliver actionable insights: Keep program data clean, contribute to regular reporting, and proactively flag trends, translating metrics (registration, attendance, email performance) into clear recommendations.
- Support execution of large-scale programs: Coordinate campaigns, timelines, and readiness across cohorts to ensure successful launches.
- Improve processes and drive operational efficiency: Identify and document opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual work, and maintain consistency across communications and community touchpoints.
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing or community, with a focus on event marketing, field marketing, or community programs.
- Strong community instincts: you understand community dynamics, can identify engaged members with potential to contribute, and know how to creatively drive attendance and retention in ways that feel authentic.
- Proven ability to execute marketing campaigns end-to-end: from planning through launch, optimization, and reporting.
- Strong marketing fundamentals, including segmentation, lifecycle campaigns, A/B testing, and deliverability best practices. Experience working within event or community platforms (e.g., Hivebrite, Bevy, or similar) and comfort managing marketing operations within them.
- Comfortable working with data: able to pull reports, interpret performance, and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations. Experience supporting or growing community-based programs (e.g., user groups, education programs, or customer communities) is a strong plus.
- Ability to simplify and scale: you can take complex programs and turn them into clear, repeatable marketing approaches.
- Strong communication skills, both written (e.g., emails, messaging) and verbal (e.g., presenting plans, collaborating cross-functionally).
- Organized with a process-oriented mindset: able to manage multiple priorities, document workflows, and maintain operational consistency across scaled programs.
- Self-starter with a bias toward action, comfortable operating with ownership and driving work forward independently.
- Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to work across teams and adjust quickly as priorities evolve.
- Experience with scaled customer education programs, bootcamps, or professional certification marketing
- Familiarity with HubSpot's product and customer base (or experience marketing at a SaaS company with a community-led growth motion)
- Experience working with volunteer or chapter-based community structures (e.g., user groups, associations, alumni networks)
