Role Summary

Our mission at HubSpot is to help millions of organizations grow better. HubSpot Next is where we explore what’s next for our platform—new bets, emerging technologies, and bold product experiences that can unlock the next chapter of growth.

As a Director of Product on HubSpot Next, you’ll play a uniquely senior, hands-on role building a brand-new product from the ground up. You’ll work as an embedded product partner to a small, highly experienced team, shaping what we build, how we build it, and how customers experience it. This role is ideal for a product leader who thrives in ambiguity, leans aggressively into AI, and is excited to operate like a founder inside a large company.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead deep customer discovery and hands-on user engagement to shape what gets built and why.

  • Partner day-to-day with a small, senior team of engineers and designers to rapidly experiment, iterate, and ship.

  • Apply an AI-first mindset to product development, using AI not as an add-on, but as a core building block of the experience.

  • Translate ambiguous problem spaces into clear product bets, learning quickly through experimentation and customer feedback.

  • Balance speed and craft—moving fast while holding a high bar for product quality and usability.

  • Communicate product direction and learnings clearly to senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Leadership.

  • Help define what success looks like for this product and evolve strategy as new insights emerge.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Significant experience building and shipping software products in highly ambiguous or early-stage environments.

  • Deep curiosity and hands-on experience building with AI, with a demonstrated ability to think AI-first in product design.

  • Strong customer intuition, with experience directly engaging users to inform product direction.

  • Proven ability to operate autonomously and make high-quality decisions with limited structure.

  • Excellent product judgment and storytelling skills, with comfort influencing senior, cross-functional partners.

  • Experience working closely with senior engineering teams in fast-moving, product-led organizations.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Founder or early employee experience at a startup or startup-like environment.

  • Background in B2B SaaS products used by small or mid-sized businesses.

  • Experience scaling a product from early experimentation to broader adoption.

Where You’ll Work

Location: United States (Cambridge/Boston, MA preferred)
