Role Summary

Our mission at HubSpot is to help millions of organizations grow better. As a Staff Product Designer within our Marketing Hub team, you’ll shape intuitive, high-impact product experiences that help our customers build awareness of their products in the context of AI. You’ll reimagine the concept of ‘Brand’ in the new world of LLMs and AI and you’ll drive zero to one product design in this nascent space.

You’ll lead complex design initiatives, influence product strategy, and partner deeply with cross-functional teams to elevate quality across surfaces. In this role, you’ll bring deep craft expertise and a bold, systems-oriented mindset to solve meaningful customer and business problems at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Design the Next Gen ‘brand’ experience for Hubspot’s customers, and you'll start by focusing on the "brand settings" experience

  • Translate customer insights, data, and research into clear, compelling product experiences.

  • Shape product strategy by defining problem spaces, identifying opportunities, and influencing long-term direction.

  • Develop design frameworks, systems, and patterns that raise quality and improve consistency across HubSpot’s platform.

  • Partner closely with PMs, Engineers, Researchers, and Content Designers to drive clarity, alignment, and momentum.

  • Mentor designers across the team, providing thoughtful critique and elevating craft.

  • Champion usability, accessibility, and simplicity in all product decisions.

  • Communicate vision and decisions clearly to cross-functional partners, stakeholders, and leadership.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience designing digital products end-to-end in a fast-paced, product-led environment with a focus on using AI tools and designing for AI-first product experiences

  • A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional craft, interaction design, systems thinking, and problem-solving for complex products. We’re looking for high-craft skills for this role, and would love to see someone with past experience in Marketing, Brand or SAAS.

  • Strong ability to synthesize data, user insights, and business goals into coherent design strategies.

  • Experience influencing product direction and driving alignment across multiple teams.

  • Comfort working autonomously, navigating ambiguity, and making sound decisions.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate rationale and tradeoffs clearly.

  • Commitment to accessibility, inclusivity, and high-quality craft.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience working with large-scale design systems or platforms.

  • Prior work in SaaS, CRM, or AI-powered product environments.

  • Familiarity with experimentation, rapid prototyping, and iterative testing.

  • Experience mentoring or coaching designers across levels.
