The UK Country Manager plays a pivotal role in leading the corporate sales team, primarily responsible for driving growth and success in their designated market (UKI). This position requires a strategic and results-oriented individual who can effectively manage and motivate a team, both directly and indirectly, to achieve sales targets and expand market presence. This leader will be responsible for ensuring that the HubSpot culture is embedded in everything we do in-region, and for creating an environment for our culture to grow and develop. The Country Manager will be expected to provide authentic leadership both cross-functionally and across segments in their region.
In this role, you’ll cover:
Leadership and Management:
- Lead and grow the UK Corporate Sales team (currently 5 teams and expanding), fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture through clear objectives, coaching, and rigorous performance management.
- Drive UKI Sales strategy and execution by aligning the Corporate Sales team with Small Business and Mid-Market teams, ensuring strong forecasting and pipeline health.
- Represent HubSpot as a key leader within the Senior EMEA Leadership group, influencing regional decisions and championing our culture across all UK-based and remote teams.
- Act as the voice of the UK region at internal and external events.
Market Strategy and Expansion:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive market strategy to drive sales growth and increase market share for the segment. Aligning the strategy with the regional segment leads to support the overall region in achieving its goals.
- Identify new business opportunities, potential partnerships, and market trends to stay ahead of the competition.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective implementation of sales strategy.
- Provide cross-functional leadership and guidance, particularly across Flywheel teams, ensuring alignment with our enterprise strategic direction.
Sales Performance and Target Achievement:
- Set ambitious sales targets and closely monitor performance against these targets.
- Analyse sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and continuously optimise sales performance..
- Implement and coach on effective sales techniques, training programs, and incentive schemes to maximise individual and team performance.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships cross-functionally
- Act as the main point of contact for our strategic corporate accounts in region, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility.
- Build a strong and positive cultural identity within the region, across segments and pillars.
Budgeting and Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the country’s sales budget (with direct ownership for corporate and input into other segments), ensuring efficient allocation of resources
- Monitor expenses, sales forecasts, and financial performance to achieve profitability targets
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales performance and market trends
We are looking for people who:
- Have a strong track record of overachieving sales targets in a high volume, high growth business focused on Corporate businesses across UKI.
- Are experienced in leading and developing diverse and high-performing teams in a hybrid-first sales culture
- Have proven leadership, team management, and coaching skills, including second line management experience and a consistent track record of hiring, developing, motivating and mentoring successful teams.
- In-depth knowledge of the local market, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Have experience creating a high-energy, inclusive team culture that fosters trust and a sense of empowerment.
- Passionate and resilient, setbacks do not deter you and enjoy the process of building the business over time.
- Detail-oriented and thorough, with the ability to effectively juggle multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Works autonomously and pivots quickly to changing business needs.
