Senior Compensation Partner

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Compensation Partner to join our team. As a trusted member of the People team, you will provide your compensation expertise - specializing in Sales Compensation to help enable HubSpot’s growth. You will support the design, implementation, communication, and day-to-day administration of HubSpot’s global compensation programs, specializing in sales compensation.
Programs and policies may incorporate job architecture, short and long-term incentives, reward and recognition programs, benchmarking and survey analysis, emerging trends, new technologies, and compensation training.
Your skills should include outstanding client service and consultation, collaborative problem-solving, and expertise to support HubSpot’s FlyWheel (Sales) pillar. This role will build partnerships across the business to deliver innovative solutions for cash compensation including:
- OTE structures (base + incentive / commission)
- Accelerators & accelerators
- SPIFF incentives
Additionally, this role will consider total rewards, and broader HR initiatives; reinforcing the company’s growth strategy to support attracting and retaining the best talent in the industry.
What you’ll do:
- Build strong relationships with Sales Operations, HR Business Partners, finance, business leaders, and executives to support the research, analysis, design, communication, and implementation of compensation programs and processes that are used across HubSpot globally, with the goal of scaling, improving, and adding efficiency.
- Provide consultation and partnership to identify needs and priorities; including conducting market research, internal analysis, establishing design principles, outlining implications through modeling, determining employee and cost impacts, and creating communications to the business.
- Influence the direction and design of innovative solutions for compensation programs by understanding the business, anticipating and diagnosing functional needs.
- perform job analysis and participate in annual compensation market analysis.
- Lead and/or participate in the Annual Compensation Review process.
- Partner with Finance and Legal teams as it relates to budgets, payroll and equity administration.
- Maintain current knowledge of legal and market topics to ensure compliance including Equal Pay, minimum wage, living wage, FLSA, and other country requirements.
- Lead other compensation related activities and projects.
We are looking for someone with:
- Relevant experience within a global compensation function with extensive knowledge of sales compensation practices and theory; including experience in compensation program design and project management.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing pay & equity structures in global, publicly traded companies.
- Strong Excel/Google suite skills with ability to analyze data and see beyond the numbers to help guide decision making; ability to build audience-specific presentations.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in simple terms to various audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and consulting skills with the proven ability to build collaborative partnerships within HR and with Business leaders to recommend compensation solutions that solve business problems.
- Flexible and consultative approach with ability to balance the data and needs of the business.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with Workday or other HRIS.
- Experience supporting finance, legal, People Operations, and marketing client groups.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality as it pertains to compensation and HR related matters.
Cash compensation range: 138500-221600 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
