The Developer Product Group builds the tools necessary for HubSpot’s growing customer base to get the most out of their HubSpot accounts. We build developer tools that unlock added power, data, features, and insights for HubSpot’s customers through custom-built apps, extensions, and integrations. Our tooling provides external developers with everything they need to build solutions for HubSpot customers. This includes the tools necessary to build out test environments, apps, integrations, workflows, website templates and pages, and CRM customization. The Developer Product Group is continuously partnering with teams across HubSpot to unlock new and powerful ways to customize, extend, and scale HubSpot’s products.
As the Director of Product, Developer Product Group you will be responsible for developing and executing a strong product vision and strategy for the Developer Product Group, as well as leading and growing a talented group of Product Managers. In this role, you’ll get to:
- Meaningfully contribute to HubSpot’s mission to help millions of organizations grow better by empowering an ecosystem with a world class development platform
- Help lead the emerging foundation of HubSpot’s developer platform, including contributing to our strategy, leading, and prioritizing execution
- Work cross functionally with engineering, product, and design
- Build trust, respect, and empathy, and use that as a base to deliver radical candor.
- Foster an inclusive team and sense of mission.
- Create and maintain strong working relationships across the organization, not only in the Developer Product Group, but across HubSpot.
- Effectively communicate at all levels of the organization to share strategy and progress towards goals.
- Explore our customer and business needs in depth and detail.
- Establish and share a strong knowledge of how we build and why.
- Represent our mission, culture, and commitment to DI&B for your team and Product Group..
- Inspire team members and candidates to take on tough challenges and grow.
We are looking for people who:
- Have experience building or working with a variety of development tools and platforms and have opinions about what great ones look like
- See beyond what we have and already do, and towards what we can build or become, while developing a vision and focus on how to get there (growth mindset)
- Have a proven ability to solve complicated technical problems and analyze trade-offs with deep empathy for developers and customers they are building for
- Can demonstrate pragmatic decision-making and problem-solving abilities and ruthlessly prioritize roadmap and backlog
- Can work collaboratively across Product Management, Design, and Engineering to solve for HubSpot customers
