Senior Software Engineer, Developer Acceleration
Infrastructure at HubSpot supports hundreds of engineering teams running thousands of high scale web services and distributed systems written in Java.
We have an opening for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the Developer Acceleration team. The Migrations team creates tools and processes that enable HubSpot to maintain a platform consisting of thousands of microservices and hundreds of micro frontendsAn engineer joining this team will:
- Design and implement systems responsible for deploying over 8,000 deployable systems more than 60,000 times per day (Java)
- Build automation for executing deployments and bootstrapping automated tests (Java, Selenium)
- Design and implement bots for communicating status of deployments, and pull request invasions for pre-validating deployments (Slack, GitHub)
- Work directly with systems teams and contribute towards implementations (Kubernetes, Mesos)
- Be an advocate of continuous delivery and consult with teams on how to deploy to production fast while maintaining safety
- Help improve Mainsail, a critical component of HubSpot's engineering operating system that helps drive infrastructure initiatives forward
- Expand the capabilities Mothership, of our AST based refactoring platform that runs code mods at scale in more than 5400 individual repositories
- Work on a mission that enables HubSpot to upgrade and change the platform HubSpot engineers build on, unlocking many developer productivity, reliability, and security wins.
We are looking for the sort of engineer who has a passion for improving developer experience and productivity. As you have extensive coding/developer experience in the past you will have natural empathy for the challenges and understand how we may improve developer experience.
This role will help scale our business and work on some of HubSpot's most technically challenging problems while collaborating across teams to solve these problems, transfer knowledge, and develop overall HubSpot product architecture.

Cash compensation range: 157600-236400 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
