Email is a big part of how we help our customers grow better with HubSpot. But sending great email that earns great results certainly isn’t getting any easier. When our customers and the rest of HubSpot need help, they come to the Deliverability Success Team, a specialized team of subject matter experts that live within HubSpot’s Product Team.
The Deliverability Success Team focuses on supporting HubSpot colleagues, our network, and customer base by enabling success through tools, education, consulting, and industry expertise. As HubSpot’s email deliverability subject matter experts, they offer everything from quick help via Slack to bespoke consulting engagements. You’ll be contributing your industry knowledge and experience to scale our capacity.
How you’ll make an impact:
- As a member of HubSpot’s Product Team, you’ll be a SME on the Deliverability Success Team, our product org’s only consulting team. You’ll guide our customer facing teams as they work directly with our customers on the delivery success of their email sending while aligning with HubSpot’s strategic product and business goals.
- You’ll champion our mission of sustainability, success, and best practices across our products, systems, and sending networks.
- You’ll provide expert consulting to identify the cause of deliverability failures for our customers, including in depth analysis and diagnostics and best practice guidance to drive inbox delivery and optimize response.
- You’ll partner with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify areas to train, share, influence, and otherwise scale the impact of the team.
- You’ll collaborate with product teams to build new deliverability features for our email apps and with our Academy team on certifications.
- You’ll represent HubSpot in the deliverability community by participating in M3AAWG, conferences, forums, Slack workspaces, and mailing lists. Since our early days, HubSpot has advocated for safe, reliable email marketing through collaboration with our colleagues throughout the industry. You’ll carry on that work and contribute to greater work for the improvement of email.
- You’ll add to the culture of the product team and care about diversity, inclusion and belonging.
- You’ll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, Academy, and product, to improve our internal deliverability infrastructure and processes.
- You’ll act as the primary point of contact for high-level deliverability escalations, both internally and externally.
- You’ll scale team knowledge of the ever-changing landscape of email through ongoing teaching, the implementation of training programs for new and existing team members, and fostering a culture of information sharing.
We are looking for people who have:

- Expertise earned by working through a broad variety of deliverability challenges that have fallen outside of the documented norm.
- A growth mindset that pushes you to continually learn and contribute to the growth of the deliverability practice and products at HubSpot.
- Expertise in adapting your communication approach across mediums and audiences.
- The skills, and the willingness to defend your ideas and approach to key stakeholders and to influence them.
- Collaborated with internal teams such as Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Support to advocate for customer-centric sending enhancements to product, support tooling, and/or MTA’s.
- Participated in and contributed to the larger email ecosystem and community.
- Handled escalated issues with customers, receiving networks and spam filtering providers.
