This role will:
- Contribute and work alongside a team of engineers where autonomy and flexibility are core values
- Work with other Hubspotters to identify opportunities to improve the backend development experience for all engineers
- Design guardrails for backend engineers starting from the IDE to the time the code is build while balancing the benefits with the friction of additional guardrails
- Develop mechanisms to help Hubspot engineers safely iterate on high impact backend code
- Write and ship infrastructure and tooling that has meaningful user and business impact
- Collaborate with HubSpotters all over the company, whether in engineering, product, design, research, marketing, sales, etc
What we’d like to see:
- Experience working on java tooling and infrastructure that is used by many teams
- Working with or knowledge of java based IDEs
- Comfort performing code reviews for engineers at all levels
