PR/Brand Marketing Manager - Japan

Since we started the Japanese operations in 2016,  our brand has shifted from being a company providing “a marketing software” to a platform that helps customer relationship management (CRM). Now, to enhance ourselves as an even more trusted brand in Japan, we are hiring a PR/Brand marketing manager to join our marketing department.

\n

The responsibility of a PR/Brand Marketing Manager is to drive various  initiatives that will develop HubSpot Japan’s brand awareness, maintaining focus on our core philosophy - “Grow Better, while planning and executing new initiatives to consolidate our position as a provider of “CRM Platform for Scaling Companies”.  

\n

In this role, you’ll build, and execute on, a scalable in-region brand awareness strategy with closely collaborating with the global teams. You’ll play an integral role in PR (mainly media relations), content creation, thought leadership, research and regional go-to- market plays for HubSpot Japan. The high quality data and point of views you will generate from those activities will not only be used in the PR/Brand plays, but also for the extended in-region marketing initiatives. This role is extremely important to HubSpot as we continue to expand our product and service offerings.

We’re looking for someone who has at least 3-4 years of PR or brand marketing experiences , as well as  content creation and storytelling.

\n

Given that, your day to day will look like:

  • \n“Core Narrative Ownership” - Being the go-to expert in HubSpot’s key messaging, positioning, and brand personality for Japan
  • \n
  • \n“Strategy Development” - Strategically find and select the most appropriate channels to deliver our brand messages and company news, then create the best mix of those channels which is aligned with the annual brand awareness plan you will create with your team. You will have ownership of your strategy and execute them autonomously.

  • \n“Media Relations” - Connect and communicate closely with Japanese reporters to grow media relations. You will write press releases, pitch news as well as plan and execute press events 
  • \n
  • \n“Collaboration” - Work closely with stakeholders across the cross functional global team on key milestones like product launches and company announcements. Also work closely with other marketers in Japan to add the brand marketing perspectives on event marketing, webinars, contents creation, etc

  • Skilled in creating, editing, and promoting content in Japanese

  • Strong sense of ownership: You’re self-motivated and feel a strong sense of ownership over everything you do. You will have autonomy and can run programs with little guidance based on your expertise
