The HubSpot Go To Market team uses data from a wide variety of sources to identify opportunities to improve our prospect and customer experiences. The Senior Data Analyst, Strategy & Analytics is responsible for working across HubSpot’s Go to Market team to drive business growth with data driven insights.

As a Senior Data Analyst sitting on the Revenue Operations team, you will have the unique opportunity to sit between HubSpot’s Operations and Marketing teams. You will be using data to make strategic recommendations in pursuit of 100% attainment of our Marketing goals, and making the connection between Marketing and the broader business . This role will offer you the opportunity to learn about a broad swath of HubSpot’s business and become an expert in how to use data and analytics to improve our prospect & customer experiences.

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Utilize your analytical skill-set to analyze data to drive key business decisions
  • Support HubSpot’s goal to drive Return on Investment on all of its marketing initiatives
  • Support the marketing team on reporting, analysis, and experiment measurement using our internal data and visualization tools (Looker, Snowflake, etc.)
  • Work to understand how HubSpot’s top of funnel initiatives (Brand, Media, Organic, Paid) are driving revenue
  • Create, forecast, and track KPIs for business units within Marketing
  • Present findings and recommendations on business strategy to executive leadership
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to support strategic planning for the Marketing & Revenue Operations organizations
  • Work closely with analytics engineers and data scientists to develop data infrastructure that efficiently powers Marketing reporting and analysis
  • Be a driving influencer and teacher on the use and application of data and analysis for the Marketing team
  • Become an expert in translating Marketing leadership’s needs into specific analysis that yields actionable insights
  • Conduct analysis of prospect & customer behaviors to uncover issues or opportunities to improve customer experience
  • Communicate findings and data insights to your stakeholders with a point of view and desire to enable the Marketing teams to make a data-driven decision

We are looking for people who have:

  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
  • A “bottom-line” mindset - focus on driving revenue growth and profitability
  • Practical experience in a business environment influencing decision making with data
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets knowledge
  • Experience using a Business Intelligence tool (we use Looker)
  • The ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally to drive actionable and measurable results
  • Educational or professional experience with a heavy quantitative, analytical focus
  • A passion for the role of data in helping solve complex questions
  • A passion for teaching others how to make data driven decisions
  • A desire to constantly learn and improve themselves

Above and Beyond Qualifications:

  • Are able to identify the right data, analysis, or approach to translate complex business problems into insights and actionable recommendations
  • Experience running an annual planning and forecasting process, from stakeholder management to leading the model development
  • Experience owning all stages of program and change management, from ideation and hypothesis testing through gaining executive buy-in and field execution
  • Experience presenting analyses to key stakeholders at different organizational levels from IC to executive leadership
  • Strong understanding of the fundamentals of a SaaS business and/or experience working at one
  • Experience with data science and statistical tools such as R, Python, or others
  • Experience using SQL to transform and analyze data (we use Snowflake SQL)

Cash compensation range: 118500-135000 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all HubSpotters are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
