About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Engineering to lead our AI Platform organization. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the strategic vision, development, and execution of the AI platform and machine learning applications that will empower HubSpot's Product Groups to deliver innovative AI-powered experiences to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a high-performing engineering team responsible for the development of HubSpot's AI Platform, including ML platforms for predictive and generative AI, infrastructure, and incubation projects
• Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the AI Platform, ensuring alignment with company objectives and product group requirements
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver world-class AI-powered experiences
• Drive technical excellence and innovation within the organization, promoting leading-edge AI and ML technologies and best practices
• Build a culture of continuous learning and improvement, fostering an environment that encourages experimentation, innovation, and calculated risk-taking
• Attract, retain, and develop top engineering talent, providing mentorship, guidance, and career development opportunities
• Serve as a subject matter expert with respect to AI platform, infrastructure and capabilities that can help drive accelerated impact across the company using AI

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on AI and machine learning applications
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing and scaling engineering teams
• Proven track record of building and deploying AI platforms and machine learning applications at scale
• Strong understanding of machine learning frameworks, tools, and technologies, with expertise in at least one major platform
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on delivering high-impact, high-quality solutions
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying current with the latest trends and advancements in AI and ML technology

Cash compensation range: 301500-482400 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all HubSpotters are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
