VP of Mid-Market Sales, NAM
HubSpot’s overarching mission is to help businesses grow better. In support of that mission, HubSpot is seeking an inspiring, inclusive and customer-centric VP of Sales in North America. In this critical role, you will be responsible for helping to develop our high-velocity sales strategy as well as building, leading and developing our sales teams across North America, focused on Mid-Market accounts. This is a geographically-dispersed direct team of almost 250 made up of Sales Reps, Managers & Directors.
You will refine and improve current go-to-market sales strategies by leveraging metrics and analysing trends in the business and partnering with key team members across HubSpot’s go-to-market organisation. You will inspire your team to do their best work, and coach your Directors, Managers and sales reps to develop their careers and execute with excellence. You will be masterful in client engagements, impacting how our customers do business in an ever-changing environment- as well as being a cultural and behavioural role model for all our employees.
In this role, you’ll get to:
- Inspire, lead, and drive a Sales team to meet or exceed sales and bookings goals, and other expectations established by executive leadership.
- Be accountable for business growth, achieving overall metrics (revenue, retention, budget, customer and employee satisfaction etc.), and accurate business forecasting.
- Attract and develop a diverse group of top talent who bring a unique perspective to HubSpot, through best in class recruiting, onboarding, and training methodologies in tandem with our recruitment, learning and development teams.
- Be an effective cross-functional partner to key business stakeholders such as the heads of People Operations, Revenue Operations, Marketing, Customer Success, Legal, among others.
We are looking for people who:
- Have a strong track record of overachieving sales targets in a high volume, high growth business focused on mid-market companies across North America. Multi-product sales experience is a plus.
- Are experienced in directly leading and developing diverse and high-performing teams of around 250 geographically-dispersed sellers, managers and directors.
- Have proven leadership, team management, and coaching skills including a mix of first, second and third line management experience and a consistent track record of hiring, developing, motivating and mentoring successful teams.
- Have clear examples of leveraging multiple data sources to inform key decision making.
- Have experience creating a high-energy, inclusive team culture that fosters trust and a sense of empowerment.
- Have deep understanding of customer values, needs, and goals to design processes solving for customers first.
- Are naturally curious. If something seems off, you want to figure out what is going on and fix it.
- Previous experience working in software, IT and/or SaaS industries preferred.
This role can be remote, flex or office-based, anywhere across the United States. You can find HubSpot offices in Cambridge, MA & San Francisco, CA.
