Role Overview:

As a Senior Business Analyst, you have expertise in bringing data together and developing sharp insights to improve the operational and financial performance of the business. You are a strong written and verbal communicator who is comfortable working cross-functionally with senior leadership, diverse stakeholders and teams. You are curious, analytically minded, and action oriented. You work with business leaders to help them see the business from every angle, and serve as a role model and mentor to junior team members.

Our goal as a Monetization team is to provide the tools and foundational elements to support the business’s goal to maximize the lifetime value (LTV) of every Pro who engages with HCP. We set and manage the pricing of our offerings, and we determine optimal pathing in terms of which offerings are best for each Pro based on where they are in their journey. In many cases, the LTV equation suggests we can do things like discount and bundle, particularly if we can encourage certain Pro behavior as a result. We’re only as effective as our ability to articulate these monetization strategies and recommendations to our sales- and product-led platforms and motions so they can actually make it happen.

What you do each day:

  • Become an expert in our products and services, and gain a deep understanding of our Pros and how our products and services enable their businesses
  • Drive results by supporting business and marketing stakeholders in identifying and answering key questions through data-driven analysis
  • Interpret data and findings and communicate these back to business stakeholders in written and visual format
  • Own the development of strategic and thoughtful analysis to maximize LTV
  • Serve as a role model and mentor to junior business analysts on the team


  • Bachelor’s or Master degree, preferably in a quantitative discipline; or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years experience with a BI tool (i.e. Tableau, Power BI or Looker (Tableau preferred))
  • Proven success sourcing business questions from key internal stakeholders, refining, and answering comprehensively with data and analytics
  • Deep understanding of SQL and transforming raw data into usable datasets for analytical purposes
  • What will help you succeed in this role:
    • Former experience in management consulting, business operations, financial modeling, or product/marketing analytics
    • Prior experience at a SaaS start-up
    • Experience working in a matrixed environment, supporting analysis and reporting for business stakeholders
    • Experience providing compelling data storytelling, unlocking actionable insights
    • Ability to drive analysis, with a constant eye toward business objectives
    • Curious, innovative mindset with a focus on solving problems
    • Strong cross-functional collaborator
    • Motivated by accuracy and attention to detail
