In fact, Americans living in rural communities suffer a mortality rate 23 percent higher than those in urban communities, in part because of the lack of access to quality care.

The Opportunity:

Join us in tackling healthcare for rural America! We’re seeking a Technology Enablement Leader who is passionate about having positive societal impact starting at the local level, solving issues of health inequity for communities that have been perennially underserved.

What you’ll do:

  • IT Infrastructure Leadership: Lead IT and business systems, managing the design and implementation of the IT infrastructure to support scalable growth and operational efficiency.
  • Champion AI and Automation Adoption: Lead the company-wide adoption of AI and automation technologies to enhance operational efficiency, improve patient outcomes, and drive innovation.
  • Build an Exceptional Team: Recruit, build, and lead a mission-driven, high-performing, and diverse team committed to Homeward's vision and values.
  • Information Security and Risk Management: In partnership with Homeward’s Chief Information Security Officer, implement and monitor a comprehensive enterprise information security and IT risk management program.
  • IT Operations Oversight: Manage day-to-day IT operations, including network administration, system upgrades, hardware and software procurement, and technical support.
  • Vendor and Partner Management: Negotiate and manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and consultants to optimize resources and outcomes.
  • Drive Build vs. Buy Decisions: Lead strategic decisions on technology investments, determining where to build custom solutions and where to leverage existing technologies.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the IT budget, making strategic decisions about resource allocation and technology investments.

What you bring:

  • Experience: 5+ years of IT leadership experience, preferably within healthcare organizations or health tech startups.
  • AI and Automation Expertise: Demonstrated experience in implementing AI and automation technologies to improve operational efficiency and drive innovation.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, network management, cloud computing (e.g., AWS), cybersecurity, and EHR systems.
  • Information Security: Expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive information security and IT risk management programs.
  • Strategic Leadership: Ability to drive build vs. buy decisions and develop technology stacks that deliver exceptional consumer experiences.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Passion: A genuine passion for leveraging technology to improve healthcare accessibility, equity, and outcomes.

The base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $190,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, location, competencies and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work at Homeward Health. This role is eligible for an annual bonus, stock options, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
