What You'll Do
- Lead LCM retention initiatives: Own the strategy, execution, and optimization of lifecycle marketing programs designed to increase user engagement, loyalty, and long-term retention across multiple channels (email, push, in-app messaging, and more).
- Develop copy, segmentation & personalization: Build sophisticated audience segments based on behavioral, demographic, and engagement data. Craft compelling messaging and copy tailored to unique audiences. Use insights to deliver personalized journeys that meet users where they are in their faith and app experience.
- Analyze and iterate: Design structured experiments focused on retention, churn reduction, and lifetime value (LTV). You’ll use cohort analysis, behavioral segmentation, and funnel tracking to understand user drop-off and proactively improve lifecycle touch points.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with product, content, data, and creative teams to align lifecycle efforts with broader company goals and ensure a seamless user experience.
- Champion user understanding: Keep a pulse on user needs, preferences, and pain points to inform retention strategies and ensure communications feel authentic, compassionate, and mission-driven.
What You'll Love
- Mission: This work is incredibly humbling. Every day we get amazing stories and get the pleasure of working on something that impacts lives. One of my favorite user quotes: “I hate quoting an old, overused cliche, but I’ve been very lost. And I think for the first time in a while I may be found.”
- Ownership: You’ll be a massive part of our growth. There’s nothing more exciting than being able to see your work touch thousands of lives around the world and truly build a world-class experience with every email, push notification, blog, and more. You’ll be doing that every day.
- Growth: From day 1, you’ll be a part of the startup journey. Over the next year, we’ll be building out our product, retention, and activation marketing to a great degree and continue to impact millions from the get go and millions of more that will install the app and start praying with Hallow over the next year.
- Flexibility: We operate as a remote-first team with members all over the globe and are open to candidates anywhere in the U.S. or Canada for this position. We don’t care when or where you work, just that it gets done! That being said, our HQ is in Chicago and if in-person work is something you are interested in, we’d love to have you there
- Comp: We will pay competitive market rates both in terms of equity, cash, & benefits.
What We're Looking For
- Passion for mission-driven marketing: You’re enthusiastic about our mission and excited to help people grow in their spiritual journey. You understand how meaningful and personal faith can be, and you’re eager to translate that into thoughtful, impactful communication.
- Lifecycle marketing expertise: You bring 4+ years of experience managing lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing campaigns, preferably in a B2C or subscription-based environment. You’re comfortable leading strategy and rolling up your sleeves to execute.
- Analytical mindset: Hands-on technical skills such as HTML/CSS and familiarity with campaign automation tools are a must. Proficiency in behavioral analytics platforms (Mixpanel), lifecycle analysis, and cohort-based segmentation is required. Experience with webhook/API-based integrations is a plus for managing technical campaign execution.
- Strong communicator and collaborator: You’re excellent at crafting clear, compelling messaging tailored to different audiences. You excel in a collaborative environment and enjoy working cross-functionally to bring campaigns to life.
- Grit, ownership, & meticulousness: You thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment, tackling new challenges with perseverance and a sharp eye for detail. You consistently take full responsibility for your work, proactively drive projects forward, and ensure that results meet the highest standards—regardless of obstacles or setbacks. No task is beneath you, and you’re always willing to roll up your sleeves to do whatever’s needed to help the team succeed.
