About you

We’re seeking a Technical Recruiter who’s passionate about discovering top talent, driving company growth, and helping people develop successful Design and Product Management careers. In this position, you'll be a strong collaborative partner to our hiring leaders, consulting with them around talent acquisition strategies & hiring processes, and executing against the team’s hiring goals. Additionally, we are looking for a recruiter who has a knack for influencing and leading from within, has experience in scaling technology companies and is eager to take on their next challenge building the next phase of Gusto’s R&D (research and development) organization. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who’s passionate about candidate experience and wants to leave things better than they found them.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for Design and Product Management roles at Gusto. You’ll manage the entire recruitment process, ensuring each hire aligns strategically with our business needs.
  • Sourcing as a forte! You’ll develop tailored strategies and initiatives to attract and engage exceptional talent.
  • Provide a thoughtful, high-touch candidate experience. You’ll guide candidates through the recruitment process with care, ensuring they feel valued and informed at every step, from the initial outreach to the final offer.
  • Build consultative relationships with hiring People Empowerers (our term for manager here at Gusto). You’ll navigate hiring partnerships with clarity and confidence, acting as a trusted advisor who helps hiring People Empowerer’s understand the market landscape and make informed choices.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with People teams across Compensation, People Partners, Candidate Experience, and Invite Operations. You’ll ensure seamless execution of hiring initiatives, facilitating communication and alignment across functions to enhance our recruiting efforts.
  • Leverage data-driven decision-making to craft compelling narratives. You don’t just analyze recruiting metrics; you have a knack for transforming data into stories that inform decision-making and proactive hiring strategies, helping us to continually refine our hiring approach.

Here’s what we're looking for:

  • 8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience: Extensive experience managing all stages of the recruitment process, including 2+ years in a high-growth tech environment, with a focus on mid- to senior-level roles within our focus areas.
  • A data-driven decision-maker: Experience using funnel metrics and data to inform hiring strategies, drive efficiency, and enhance the overall recruitment process.
  • Technical proficiency: Skilled in using recruiting tools and platforms such as Greenhouse, Gem, Slack, LinkedIn Recruiter, and more.
  • A collaborator: Thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment and enjoy working collaboratively across teams to leave things better than you found them!
  • Leadership and mentorship skills: Experience in leading recruitment initiatives and mentoring other recruiters to enhance the overall effectiveness of the recruiting team.
  • Commitment to building belonging at Gusto: Strong track record of building representative pipelines and initiatives that ensure equitable hiring practices.
