About the Role:
The Senior Customer Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex customer data to provide actionable insights that drive business strategies. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data analysis tools, and the ability to communicate findings effectively. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in customer data analysis and a passion for enhancing customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis and Insights:
- Analyze customer data to identify trends, patterns, and key insights.
- Develop and maintain customer segmentation models to inform marketing, sales and customer success strategies.
- Perform cohort analysis to evaluate customer lifetime value and retention rates.
- Provide actionable recommendations to improve customer acquisition, retention, and engagement.
- Reporting and Visualization:
- Create and maintain detailed reports and dashboards to monitor customer metrics.
- Use data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present complex data in an understandable format.
- Prepare and present insights and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Collaboration and Strategy:
- Collaborate with revenue teams to align customer insights with business objectives.
- Work with data scientists and other analysts to develop predictive models and perform advanced analytics.
- Contribute to the development of customer journey maps and personas based on data analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in customer data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.
- High proficiency in SQL
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Knowledge of marketing automation, CDP tools
Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $136,000 - $160,000 in San Francisco and New York, and $112,000 - $132,000 in Denver and most remote locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.
Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.
When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.
