In GoodData, we are expanding our team dedicated to the cloud operation of our unique analytical platform, designed for creating analytical data products for our customers. We are seeking an experienced operations engineer to join our Cloud team. The successful candidate should be an enthusiastic professional who is deeply interested in cutting-edge technologies and is able to learn new things quickly.

Your job will be to

• Lead team of 5 technical professionals

• Take care of the cloud infrastructure part of our SaaS applications.

• Develop, deploy, and maintain scalable, reliable, and efficient infrastructure solutions.

• Manage and optimize hybrid cloud deployments using AWS, Azure and OpenStack.

• Deploy new software versions.

• Ensure integration with the underlying cloud platform and with logging, monitoring and alerting systems.

• Meet high availability and performance goals according to our SLA.

• Maintain and contribute to the improvement of GoodData security measures.

You should have

• BSc. degree in Computer Science or relevant field.

• 4 years of work experience as an operations or cloud engineer. Leadership skills welcomed

• Good knowledge of Linux operating system administration, troubleshooting and fine-tuning.

• Good knowledge of shell scripting.

• Knowledge of TCP/IP-based computer networks and common internet protocols.

• Ability to manage and monitor physical servers (install, deploy, maintain).

• Advanced written and spoken English.

• No problem to participate in 24x7 on-call support (a week once in five weeks).

It is nice if you have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Openstack, KVM.

• Experience with Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, Python, and Git.

• Experience with cloud computing.

• Experience with an agile environment.

• Fluent English.
