About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our lean and agile team. This is a critical hands-on role that will directly support our research and development efforts by maintaining laboratory operations, executing experiments, and ensuring the smooth flow of our research and development processes. Given our focus on hydrogen, experience with relevant processes and equipment will be highly valued. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is eager to learn, and possesses a strong work ethic with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

About The Role

Roles and responsibilities
- Laboratory Maintenance & Organization:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment..
- Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and tracking of consumables, and supplies.
- Experimental Support & Execution:
- Assist in execution of basic experiments under the guidance of senior engineers
- Operation of small-scale experimental setups for hydrogen production.
- Accurately record experimental data (electronic and/or physical).
- Assist in troubleshooting experimental issues and optimizing protocols.
- Independently design and fabricate/build subsystems and test stands based on input from engineering.
- Design, fabricate, and instrument experimental test stands and setups in collaboration with engineering.
- Quality Control & Documentation:
- Adhere strictly (and develop) SOPs and safety guidelines.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of laboratory protocols and documentation.
- Team Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate effectively with engineers and other team members to support project goals.
- Communicate experimental results, observations, and issues clearly and concisely to the team.
- Actively participate in lab meetings and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Required:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related scientific field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience, preferably in an industry or academic research setting. Startup experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in basic design/fabrication/instrumentation techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to follow protocols meticulously and maintain accurate records.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
