About the Role
You will be part of the Analytics team at Fivetran, a leader at the forefront of modern analytics. We leverage the most innovative data stack and define industry best-practices to provide data-driven insights to build the next generation of data pipelines.
Analytics is the tip of the spear that helps turbocharge the rapid growth of Fivetran as a leader in the modern data pipeline industry. Your mission as a Senior Analytics Operations & Program Manager is to ensure that the Analytics organization solves for the right problems in the right way and drives an exceptional data experience across Fivetran.
Our team is independent, transparent, and collaborative with some of the most talented data analysts, engineers, and scientists in the industry. We are looking for a driven and opinionated operator who is unafraid to tell us what to do, loves constant challenges, and will make a dent by helping scale the Analytics organization and the growth of Fivetran.
This role will focus on driving the success of the R&D Analytics pods (Product and Engineering analytics: 10+ team members), but will also have a broad scope of responsibilities that extend to the entire Analytics organization of 40+ members.
This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our Oakland, CA office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.
What You'll Do

Technical program management: “What + How”

You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of strategic, complex, and/or cross-departmental projects: from scoping requirements, to building alignment with stakeholders, to creating project plans and ensuring delivery

Ensure that the Product and Engineering analytics teams have well-managed backlogs and communicate timelines with stakeholders

Be the gatekeeper: Negotiate with stakeholder leadership (Directors and above) to ensure we are prioritizing the most impactful work.

Process: “Operational Excellence”

Improve sprint and quarterly planning processes to reduce rollovers

Triage new incoming tickets in partnership with pod leaders to ensure requests are reviewed in a timely manner; experience with JIRA is a plus

Optimize any other processes as needed to ensure we are operating as efficiently as possible

Ensure that analytics team members are following team processes

Data Usage & Enablement: “Exceptional Data Experiences”

Drive data enablement across the organization

Improve ease of use of our data stack and products (such as dashboards and analyses) to drive higher stakeholder satisfaction and improve data driven decision making at Fivetran

Create policies and standards for our dashboards, data assets, and folders to ensure our managed data assets are organized, easy to find, and relevant
