About the Role

Fivetran is looking for a highly driven and proactive Senior Manager of Employee Benefits to join the People Team. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Global HR Operations and Employee Benefits, you will be a strategic thought leader who plays a critical role in development and execution of our roadmap for Global Benefits and Wellbeing.If you excel in fast-paced settings and seek a position that encourages innovation within a rapidly growing startup, we'd love to connect with you!

What You'll Do

  • Strategically lead the Global Benefits function to effectively design, implement, administer and manage the benefits and wellbeing strategy, philosophy, programs, policies, and initiatives
  • Ensure programs are developed to be aligned with our culture are cost effective, sustainable, market relevant and meet the needs of our employees
  • Develop and manager program budgets, global benchmarking strategies, and third party consultant/broker/vendor relationships
  • Keep current on regulations and new legislation; ensure all programs and policies are legally compliant; and oversee audits and required filings
  • Understand market trends, business challenges, and priorities by gathering competitive market data and networking with industry peers
  • Build collaborative relationships and provide consultative advice to Leaders and HR business partners on benefits strategy
  • Lead the benefits renewals processes
  • Implementation of pension programs and vendors
  • Partner on building and deploying strategy and a roadmap to create a culture of wellbeing for our employees
  • Provide guidance and consultation on all areas related to time off and leave of absence programs across US, APAC and EMEA
  • Act as a point of escalation for the Global HR Operations partners on matters that are complex to resolve
  • Train Global HR Operations partners on day to day administration and operations of global benefits programs
  • Lead and provide guidance to the 401(k) and Pension Committee
  • Manage, monitor and implement improvements and compliance changes to International Supplemental Pension plan and 401(K) program
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex benefits information in a simple manner to varying levels of employees, including senior leadership.

Skills We're Looking For

  • 5-7+ years in designing and managing Global Employee Benefit programs, with 3+ years developing and executing strategy
  • 2+ years experience with wellbeing program development and deployment
  • 3+ years experience in vendor management
  • Experience with utilizing global benefits benchmarking and market practice for improvement and implementation of programs
  • Strong Global Benefits compliance
  • Desire to grow and build a global benefits infrastructure
  • Empathy, cultural sensitivity, high emotional intelligence
  • Employee customer-centric mindset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective Project Management skills
  • Ability to analyze data, apply critical and creative thinking to draw conclusions and develop solutions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and trustworthiness in handling confidential information
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

Nice-to-haves (optional):

  • Working knowledge of Workday
  • Experience using benefits enrollment systems and tools


The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the target position and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, business need, market demands. This range represents base salary only and does not include incentive for sales roles, equity, or benefits, if applicable.

$150,920$188,650 USD
