About the Role
Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies. We’re looking for an experienced Sales Systems Engineering Manager to join and lead our internal Salesforce systems engineering team. This role will require the individual to manage a small team of Developers, Administrators, and Architects and collaborate with our business stakeholders in Revenue Operations, Marketing, Engineering, and Business Process Analysts.
The responsibilities include revising and implementing new Go-To-Market Processes (including CPQ), deep integrations with our Fivetran product, as well as operating and supporting our Salesforce and adjacent business applications
This role requires a highly architectural technical manager who is open to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty if necessary. Prior management experience is strongly preferred.
This full-time position is based in our Denver office.
What You'll Do
Manage a team of Developers, Administrators, and Architects to …
- Run the entire application life cycle, from requirements gathering, technical design, development, and testing to deployment.
- Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other external systems.
- Configure, develop and maintain third-party integration apps (e.g., Marketo, Netsuite, Catalyst, Outreach.io, etc.)
- Significantly reduce technical and architectural debt
- Implement and maintain ITGCs and other SOX-compliant technical controls
- Stay informed on new Salesforce features and functionalities and provide recommendations for process improvements, Salesforce enforcements, etc.
Collaborate with Business Process Analysts, Revenue Operations, Marketing Operations, Finance, and Engineering stakeholders to …
- Implement, maintain, and operate end-to-end processes and workflows in Salesforce, CPQ, and adjacent systems to automate our Go-To-Market processes
- Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other external systems
- Ensure end-to-end data quality
- Implement appropriate process controls
Collaborate with our Release, QA, and Support teams to …
- Release high-quality, resilient, secure, and reliable features, improvements, and bug fixes to production
- Develop and maintain a set of automated test cases to avoid regressions in production
- Provide ongoing support and system administration to fix production issues quickly.
Build a high-performing team
- Jointly develop Career Development Plans with your team members
- Hire and onboard new team members who can hit the ground running
- Coach team members in weekly 1:1s, monthly project reviews, and quarterly check-ins

Skills We're Looking For
Applications, Technologies & Architecture
- Deep hands-on experience and architecture and technical knowledge with Salesforce and Salesforce CPQ
- Proficiency with Apex, SOQL, and Salesforce configuration management
- Working knowledge of other sales, marketing, customer success, and finance systems such as Outreach, Marketo, Catalyst, and Netsuite.
- Familiarity with integration technologies such as Celigo
- Working knowledge of analytics technologies such as Bigquery, Looker, or Sigma

- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
- Demonstrated competency in development processes, project and program leadership
