Responsibilities
- Payment Operations Oversight: Oversee and guide teams handling key financial processes, including SEPA, SWIFT, FX, and card operations. This includes managing teams responsible for payment recalls, transaction investigations, and detailed payment analysis.
- Process Improvement Leadership: Lead initiatives to enhance and streamline processes within the Payment Operations hub, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Strategic Impact & Service Delivery: Directly impact and influence the delivery of payment services, shaping both customer-facing products and back-office systems.
- Client Management & Quality: Handle client issues directly, ensuring the highest service quality through analyst-to-client communication and taking full responsibility for issue resolution from start to finish.
- Partner and Infrastructure Management: Communicate and engage with payment infrastructure providers to escalate requests, track issues, and ensure timely resolution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Product, Customer Care, and Sales teams, to ensure operations align with broader company goals.
- Complexity Simplification: Possess the ability to take complex infrastructures and simplify them.
- Familiarity with SWIFT interfaces.
- Previous experience working directly with a Clearing Settlement Mechanism (CSM).
Who you are
- Experience (Payments):3+ years working with SEPA, SWIFT, and FX in a fintech, neobank, or traditional bank environment.
- Experience (Leadership):2+ years leading a team, with a focus on SWIFT, FX, or SEPA processes.
- Technical Experience: Experience working with direct Target2 connectivity.
- Language: Speak English fluently.
- Mindset: Act with a "start-up" mentality, with a clear focus on striving for improvements.
- Work Style: Enjoy working autonomously, while also collaborating effectively with the immediate team and multiple other departments/stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Actively try to detect inefficiencies and propose solutions.
- Data & Analytics: Possess an analytical mindset, proficient with data and analytics, and tools such as Metabase, PowerBI, or DataBricks.
