Working format:
Cyprus: Relocation package is provided.
Spain: we are only able to hire candidates who possess a DNI (for Spanish nationals) or a NIE linked to a valid working permit in Spain (for foreign nationals). Relocation support is not provided.
Poland: employment will be under 'Umowa o Pracę' (UoP). Relocation support is not provided.
About the Role
This role leads and supports a team of CDD Analysts, managing all aspects of team performance, scheduling, and backlog to ensure efficient and accurate processing of CDD cases. The individual will be the primary contact for key stakeholders (CCS, Sales, FCRM, Product teams), driving improvements, meeting KPIs, and ensuring regulatory compliance through cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of CDD Analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and motivation.
  • Handle all aspects of team management, including scheduling, performance tracking, handling absences/sickness, and conducting regular check-ins.
  • Monitor and manage the onboarding backlog, ensuring timely and accurate processing of CDD cases.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for key stakeholders, including CCS, Sales, FCRM, and Product teams.
  • Drive and implement team improvements to enhance team efficiency and service quality.
  • Ensure the team consistently meets or exceeds KPI targets and complies with internal and external regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve challenges, improve workflows, and support change initiatives.
  • Utilize AI-powered tools to support screening, translations, or document analysis
  • Support the validation and quality review of AI or rule-based models used in risk scoring and transaction monitoring

Who you are

  • English – full working proficiency; Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese or Greek would be an advantage but is not a precondition;
  • Thorough and specific knowledge of typologies of money laundering, terrorism financing, sanctions;
  • Detail-oriented and highly motivated self-starter;
  • Critical and analytical thinking;
  • Start-up oriented, proactive, result-driven, and capable of working under own initiative and little supervision
  • Familiarity with AI tools and their application in compliance or CDD workflows.
  • Experience reviewing or validating risk models, decision rules, or automated alerts.
