About the Role:

  • In this role, you'll be at the forefront of data engineering, playing a pivotal part in our mission to transform financial management through technology.
  • You will delve into the intricacies of data processes, ensuring their optimal performance and contributing to the strategic development of our FinCrime Risk Management systems.
  • Your work will directly impact the way small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Europe harness the power of data for financial decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and optimize ETL processes, ensuring data health and integrity.
  • Collaborate to identify and resolve data quality issues, working closely with data analysts and risk management teams.
  • Proactively investigate and resolve data-related issues, troubleshoot ETL failures, and provide technical support.
  • Prepare and refine data for predictive modeling, ensuring accuracy for data-driven decisions.
  • Engage in cross-functional projects with data scientists and BI engineers.
  • Identify and implement system improvements for increased efficiency.
  • Assemble datasets meeting functional and non-functional requirements, including real-time data gathering. Implement and support data model changes.

Long/Term Tasks:

  • Data Warehouse (DWH) improvement.
  • Become a data partner for FCRM, Infosec, and Product Development.
  • Develop and maintain feature & metric stores.

Desired Experience and Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience as an ETL Developer or Data Engineer.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with Python.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., BigQuery).
  • Proficient in analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL / orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Dagster).
  • Start-up oriented, proactive, and self-motivated. Knowledge of stream-processing platforms (e.g., Apache Kafka).
  • English – full working proficiency; Russian – basic working proficiency.
