About Us

At Félix, we're building the financial ecosystem for Latin immigrants in the U.S., starting with a revolution in remittances. Our core product is an AI-powered chatbot built on WhatsApp, allowing our users to send money home as easily as sending a text message. We leverage cutting-edge technology like AI, blockchain, and stablecoins to make cross-border payments faster, more affordable, and more accessible than ever before.

We are a hyper-growth Series B company, backed by over $100 million in funding from top-tier global investors, including QED, Castle Island, Switch Ventures, HTwenty, Monashees, and General Catalyst Customer Value Fund. This isn't just about the numbers; it's a testament to the trust our investors have in our vision and our team. Additionally, Félix was selected as an “Endeavour Entrepreneur” and was a recipient of the CrossTech Fintech Startups Award. We are a group of extremely talented and dedicated high-performers, united by our shared obsession with a single goal: empowering our customers. We are all owners of Félix, driven by a bias for action and a true experimentation spirit to get shit done with urgency and focus.

Joining Félix means you will be part of a team building a legacy, a company that will outlive us all. This is a rare opportunity to apply your skills to a deeply meaningful mission—serving a community that has been underserved for too long. We are a team that is fiercely loyal to each other, where radical transparency and constructive feedback are how we grow and push for excellence. We are bold, we care less about what others are doing, and more about creating sustainable value and a product that truly makes our users' lives better. We are building the future, today.

About The Role

You'll join the Fraud Strategy team at Felix — responsible for how we detect, decide on, and prevent fraud across every product, payment rail, and country we operate in. We sit at the intersection of Data Science, Product, Operations, and Risk, turning fraud signals into decisions and designing the controls that stop bad actors while keeping good customers moving.

Felix is entering new rails and new markets at speed . Working within our launch squad, you'll drive the fraud-risk side of these launches: running the risk assessments, designing the controls, sizing the threats in the data, and building the repeatable playbook that lets every new rail and country plug in cleanly. You won't build models — but you will be strongly analytical and hands-on in SQL, sizing risk, setting thresholds, and watching early indicators after every launch. You're a key reason Felix can move into new markets quickly and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the fraud risk assessment for every new product, payment rail, and country — identifying the threats, defining the controls and thresholds, and recommending readiness.
  • Support the launch squad in sequencing concurrent launches , partnering across Engineering, Product, Compliance, Operations, and the fraud team to get the fraud-risk work done on time.
  • Build and maintain the launch playbook: a repeatable fraud risk-assessment and readiness process so each new rail or country plugs in without reinventing it each time.
  • Define the controls, thresholds, and monitoring each launch needs; hand off cleanly to the squad and BAU owners after launch.
  • Use data and SQL to size launch risk, set initial thresholds, and monitor early post-launch indicators — iterating quickly when reality diverges from the assessment.
  • Track the fraud-risk dependencies for each launch and surface blockers early, before they become launch slips.
  • Communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and partner effectively across teams without direct authority.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, business, or related field — or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4–6 years of experience, including supporting product, payment-rail, or market launches in a payments, fintech, or risk environment.
  • Strong launch / project execution skills: running risk assessments, managing the fraud-risk workstream of a launch, and keeping cross-functional dependencies on track.
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced SQL (hands-on) — able to pull and analyze data, size risk, set thresholds, and monitor launch performance independently. (No ML or statistical-modeling requirement — this is an orchestration role, not a modeling one.)
  • Conceptual breadth across fraud typologies, rails, and geographies — enough to know what to ask and what to assess, across markets.
  • Working awareness of the regulatory context per rail and market (e.g., NACHA for ACH, KYC/AML considerations for new countries).
  • Experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, or similar) to build and consume monitoring.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to influence without authority.
  • Advanced English; familiarity with LATAM markets a strong plus.
  • These are the applicable requisites, although equivalent competencies in any of the above will also be considered.
