The Mission 🚀

As a Solutions Engineer, you are the technical bridge between our product’s capabilities and our customers’ business needs. Reporting to the Head of Presales, you will act as a high-level Individual Contributor, supporting the entire sales and success ecosystem.
Whether it’s a high-stakes discovery call with a new lead or a technical roadblock threatening an existing partnership, you are the expert who steps in to provide clarity, security assurance, and architectural guidance.
Key Responsibilities 🎯
1. Technical Sales Support (New Business)
Collaborative Discovery: Partner with Sales teams across all segments to identify technical requirements, security needs, and integration possibilities early in the cycle.
Custom Technical Demonstrations: Lead deep-dive sessions on APIs, Webhooks, and Data Flows, showing exactly how Factorial fits into a client’s existing tech stack.
Security & Compliance: Take full ownership of technical security questionnaires and lead conversations with client IT and Security teams to ensure a smooth "Technical Win."
2. Customer Continuity & Retention
Churn Prevention: Support Account Managers (AMs) by resolving complex technical hurdles for existing clients, ensuring they continue to find value in our platform.
Strategic Onboarding: Provide "Expert-level" support to Project Managers and Onboarding specialists for clients with non-standard technical setups or data migration needs.
Partner & Ecosystem Support: Assist the Partnerships team in technical vetting and troubleshooting to ensure our third-party integrations remain robust.
3. Data & Analytics Advocacy
SQL & Reporting: Use your SQL expertise to help clients and internal teams unlock advanced analytics and bespoke data visualizations.
Product Feedback Loop: Collect and synthesize technical feedback from the field to provide the Product and Engineering teams with data-driven insights for the roadmap.
What We’re Looking For
The Experience: 2+ years of experience in a technical client-facing role (Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Technical Account Management).
Integration Expert: Deep understanding of how SaaS platforms connect. You are comfortable working with Webhooks, middleware (like Zapier, Make, or Tray.io), and native integrations. You can map data flows between Factorial and external ERPs, ATS, or Payroll systems.
Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with REST APIs and SQL. You should be comfortable explaining JSON structures and querying databases.
Problem-Solving Mindset: You enjoy the "puzzle" of an integration and can find creative workarounds to complex technical challenges.
Communication: You are an "Internal & External Translator"—able to make the complex simple for HR managers and the simple detailed for Developers.
Languages: English and Spanish (mandatory)
