At Factorial, we’re looking for a Forward Deployed Analytics Specialist (FDA) to help our customers turn data into actionable insights through SQL and analytics enablement 📊

The Role ✨

We’re hiring a Forward Deployed Analytics Specialist (FDA) within Customer Experience. You’ll work directly with customers to build reports using SQL and support them in adopting Factorial’s analytics capabilities.

Your main focus will be translating business questions into queries and dashboards, while gradually helping customers become more independent in how they use data.

This is a hands-on role combining SQL, problem-solving, and customer interaction, with room to grow into more complex analytics ownership over time.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Forward Deployed Analytics Engineer at Factorial, you will:

Build reports and data solutions using SQL

• Write SQL queries to create customer reports and dashboards

• Translate business questions into clear query logic

• Support the maintenance and iteration of existing reports
  

Support customer analytics use cases

• Help gather and clarify reporting requirements

• Work with predefined KPIs and metric definitions

• Deliver reliable and easy-to-understand outputs
  

Enable customers to use analytics

• Guide customers on how to use Factorial’s analytics features

• Support them in modifying or building simple reports

• Help improve their understanding of their own data
  

Support BI and data usage outside Factorial

• Assist customers in preparing data for BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker, etc.)

• Share best practices for structuring and using data
  

Troubleshoot and validate data

• Investigate issues in reports or unexpected results

• Debug SQL queries and data inconsistencies

• Validate outputs before delivery
  

What We’re Looking For

You’re likely a great fit if you:

• Have 1–3 years of experience in data analytics, BI, or similar roles

• Have solid SQL fundamentals:

  • Comfortable writing queries with joins and aggregations

  • Able to understand and modify existing queries

  • Curious to learn more advanced techniques

• Are comfortable working with stakeholders:

  • You can understand business questions and translate them into data needs

  • You communicate clearly, even if you’re still building confidence

• Have some exposure to BI or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker, etc.)

• Have a structured problem-solving mindset:

  • You can investigate issues step by step

  • You care about getting the data right

• Are eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment

• Speak fluent English and Spanish
  

Bonus Points if You

• Have experience in customer-facing roles (internships, support, consulting, etc.)

• Have worked with APIs or data extraction workflows

• Are interested in data modeling and analytics best practices

• Have experience with HR or business data
