About the Role

The Accounting Manager will be an integral member of the Finance team at Fabric, reporting directly to the Head of Finance. This is a pivotal role responsible for managing the general ledger and overseeing the entire monthly financial statement close process. You will lead and supervise the existing accounting team and drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance departmental efficiency and scalability.

What You'll Do

As Accounting Manager, you will be the core driver of financial accuracy, integrity, and efficiency. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Financial Close & Reporting: Perform timely and accurate month-end close, managing financial closing activities (including foreign entities), consolidation, balance sheet account reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • SaaS Revenue & AR: Oversee Accounts Receivable and ensure the integrity of ASC 606 revenue recognition, specifically focusing on the tracking and management of deferred revenue.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise the existing accounting team and oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring all tasks are executed efficiently and accurately.
  • Process Improvement: Lead efforts to build out new workflows and structure, actively addressing and improving month-end close processes to drive operational efficiency.
  • Technical Accounting & Audit: Identify, research, and document Fabric’s technical accounting policies. Lead the external audit process by working directly with mid-to-large sized audit firms to drive timely closure of deliverables.
  • Strategic Projects: Assist with financial due diligence and integration of M&A transactions as needed, and support the Head of Finance with other ad hoc projects.

Why You Might Be a Good Fit

  • You are a process-driven leader with a clear focus on operational efficiency and building new structures and workflows.
  • You possess a thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SaaS accounting principles, and you enjoy the challenge of identifying and documenting complex technical policies.
  • You have a track record of successfully managing audits with major accounting firms.
  • You are an excellent analytical thinker, highly inquisitive, and adept at managing complex financial processes.
  • You are excited by the opportunity to provide direct supervision, mentorship, and leadership to an accounting team.
  • You are passionate about building a fast-growing company and are comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

This Might Not Be The Right Fit If...

  • You lack hands-on experience with SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606) or managing deferred revenue schedules.
  • You have not previously acted as the lead point of contact for an external audit.
  • You lack hands-on experience with cloud-based ERP systems.
  • You are not comfortable evaluating complex business transactions and documenting technical accounting policies.
  • You prefer a slow-paced environment and are not comfortable with the ambiguity and change inherent in a fast-growing company.
  • You are seeking a purely individual contributor role and are not interested in providing direct supervision and mentorship.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • At least 6–8 years of experience combined from public accounting and private companies.
  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including specific expertise in SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606).
  • Demonstrated experience leading audits and working with mid-to-large sized audit firms.
  • Experience with cloud-based ERP required.
  • Process-driven with a focus on operational efficiency.
  • Familiarity with M&A due diligence and integration.
  • Passion for building a fast-growing company and comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Bonus Points

  • CPA certification.
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
