Why Join Evvy?

At Evvy, we believe the female body shouldn’t be a medical mystery. That’s why we’re on a mission to close the gender health gap by leveraging overlooked female biomarkers, starting with the vaginal microbiome.

Evvy’s innovative vaginal health platform is the first and only vaginal healthcare service to bring together state-of-the-art testing, precision clinical care and prescription treatment, and 1:1 coaching to give women and people with vaginas the care they deserve. Through our platform, we’re generating the world’s largest dataset on the vaginal microbiome — transforming both patient outcomes and scientific understanding.

Why join now?

We’re growing fast and moving faster. Now is the time to shape the future with us.

  • Impact at scale: We’ve helped tens of thousands of patients and are rapidly growing every day.
  • Continuous innovation: Our precision care platform and proprietary data power our research to transform how vaginal health is treated and understood. Our research insights then feed back into our care platform.
  • Top tier investors: Backed by leading healthcare investors such as General Catalyst and LabCorp, the Evvy team includes leading OB/GYNs and vaginal microbiome researchers with decades of experience at organizations like UCSF, Stanford, Harvard, and more.

About the Role

We’re looking for a senior engineer who is product-minded, relentlessly driven and exceptionally resourceful. You’ll work closely with our head of engineering to architect, build and scale our vaginal health platform, from ideation to launch and beyond. This isn’t just about writing great code—it’s about solving meaningful problems, driving impact, and empowering our users.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead zero-to-one product development from ideation to production, collaborating with cross functional leaders across product, design, marketing, clinical and operations.
  • Work across the true full stack: requirements definition, system architecture design, backend, frontend, QA, monitoring, debugging, even the occasional figma design.
  • Collaborate closely with the head of engineering to define the technical architecture and direction of our platform.
  • Build for our users and our teammates. You will help build innovative new experiences for our users, from our ecommerce platform, to testing services and care delivery. You will also design and build the workflows and tools that allow our operations team members to support our users every step of the way.
  • Build scalable systems quickly. You will understand and make tradeoffs across speed and scalability, knowing that sometimes it’s better to build something now that will eventually break, as long as we understand the breaking points clearly.
  • Shape our culture. You will help define our engineering processes, mentor teammates, and contribute to a collaborative, high-performance environment.

What we’re looking for

  • You have 5+ years of full stack development experience with a proven ability to deliver high-quality, scalable applications
  • You have strong backend experience in Python, Postgres, and cloud infrastructure platforms
  • You have experience building web app frontends using React and Typescript
  • You have strong computer science fundamentals and general programming and debugging skills.
  • You are a product owner. You care deeply about the “why” behind what you build and prioritize user needs. You have the technical engineering skills but you understand that the work is not done until you meet the end user need.
  • You are a creative problem solver. You thrive in ambiguity, taking complex challenges and figuring out the best path forward with the resources available.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication, able to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.

It's a plus if you have

  • Prior startup experience
  • Ecommerce experience
  • Health tech experience
  • Experience with our specific tech stack Django, AWS, Render, Snowflake, React, Typescript
