The Elevator Pitch
The Product Manager for Evolv's Digital Portfolio will lead all efforts related to the company's portfolio of digital products. These products complement Evolv’s physical security products. By providing valuable fleet management and analysis capabilities, they help incentivize customers to purchase and renew subscriptions to Evolv’s physical security products.
This leadership role requires establishing the product portfolio vision, identifying unmet customer needs, defining product requirements, guiding the R&D team to implement the product requirements, accepting deliverables, and launching product updates to colleagues, channel partners and customers.
Success in the Role: What performance outcomes over the first 6 months will you work toward completing?
Within 3 months, you will:
- Meet with customers, witness security operations, and gather and internalize customer feedback / pain points
- Present an initial impression and fresh perspective of the market, customers, and digital portfolio opportunities to leadership
- Identify user personas and their motivations & goals
- Analyze usage across the digital products to determine their performance, effectiveness, and user behavior
- Surface data integration leverage points across both Evolv’s products and 3rd-party sources
By 6 months, you will:
- Define and articulate the needs, by vertical, for our markets and customers
- Use product requirement documents, user stories, and AI-powered prototyping to streamline an iterative approach to requirements definition that aligns with engineering’s weekly release cadence.
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure accurate translation into technical requirements
- Chart a data driven roadmap developed with engineering to improve user engagement, simplify user experience, and improve effectiveness of the digital products in your portfolio
- Execute and deliver to market a compelling set of digital product capabilities
- Establish yourself as the recognized digital product portfolio end-to-end leader across the organization
The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What key responsibilities or requirements will you be executing regularly?
Evolv Portal Management
- Lead the customer portal where users monitor system performance and configure products. Focus on making tasks easier, suggesting smart settings, and creating a user-friendly experience that improves security. Explain complex ideas clearly to stakeholders and find ways to improve the portal's value. Modernize its look and feel.
Evolv Insights Platform
- Oversee Evolv’s data analytics platform that gives customers useful information about their security operations. Use your skills in data visualization and integration to deliver insights that help customers make better decisions and get more value from our products.
Evolv Mobile Application
- Develop our mobile app for remote system access and management. Apply mobile-first design principles while understanding how customers use the app in different environments. Work with designers to create features that solve real customer problems.
Strategic Initiative
- Lead a confidential strategic project that will be shared during interviews. This role involves identifying new market opportunities and staying aware of market trends that affect our product lineup.
Required Skills and Attributes
A skilled product manager who balances big-picture strategy with day-to-day problem solving, making impactful decisions based on data while building strong relationships across teams and using AI to create standout products. They own the entire product journey from idea to launch, always putting customer needs first while making sure projects are technically possible and good for business. They communicate clearly, understand good design, have technical knowledge, and inspire their teams to create excellent products while always looking for ways to improve.
Where is this role located?
This role is based from our headquarters in Waltham, Massachusetts. Due to the nature of our software-enabled hardware products, this position requires on-site work at least 3 days per week. There is approximately 20% anticipated domestic travel required for customer visits, test events and tradeshows.
What is the salary range?
The base salary range for this full-time position is $135,000 – $150,000 + equity + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
