About the Role

We’re looking for a Growth Marketer to be a key player in scaling up our Paid Marketing programs. This is an exciting opportunity to test and scale new channels at Ethos (Programmatic, Affiliate, Social, Search, Influencers, Content, Partnerships, and others) and have a big impact on our bottom line.

In this role, you will experiment, analyze and experiment again! As a core member of our Growth Marketing team, you’ll build and evolve our marketing strategy, setting up, analyzing, and optimizing campaigns and test pilots to efficiently acquire customers for Ethos’ life insurance business. We’re looking for someone with a unique combination of skill set, including analytical, creative, and empathetic thinking. You're results driven and have a history of exceeding expectations. You can quickly adapt and learn new things and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position will report to the Senior Growth Manager and work alongside a team of passionate marketers who are driven by Ethos’ mission of making life insurance accessible for all.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Launch and test new marketing channels such as Affiliate, Social,Influencers, and PPC/Lead Generation
  • Be the champion of growth initiatives by identifying new channels and optimizing existing ones
  • Run experiments across acquisition channels to increase revenue
  • Analyze new channels and partners to measure impact, and develop ways to scale traffic and revenue
  • Use your intelligence, experience, creativity, and organizational skills to solve problems with minimum input from others
  • Execute growth marketing campaigns from developing campaign strategy, to driving execution through to completion
  • Manage third-party ad platforms and ad networks alongside internal tools
  • Track performance on a weekly and monthly basis and make adjustments to improve target KPIs
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Creative teams to develop and test new ad themes, including writing copy, identifying best practices for landing pages, and developing new creative iterations
  • Communicate frequently and proactively with vendors to manage and optimize media buys
  • Take initiative in supporting new acquisition channels as the company further diversifies its marketing mix
  • Share insights across the marketing department and cross-functional, and contribute to overall customer acquisition strategy, creative development and best practices

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3+ years experience in growth/performance marketing, including direct, hands-on experience with paid media
  • Experience in direct-to-consumer marketing, life insurance/financial service products experience is a plus
  • Strong expertise in Excel/Google Sheets and Analytics – you have the ability to synthesize data, make data-driven decisions, and balance quantitative measurement with an intuition-driven bias to action (a big plus for experience with SQL, pivot tables, Tableau, Chartio, Supermetrics, or Optimizely)
  • Experience in relevant channels using Affiliate, Partnerships, and Influencers to drive sales - or proven ability to quickly learn, test, and scale new channels
  • Experience on affiliate marketing platforms such as CJ, Rakuten, or Impact Radius is a plus
  • You’re a self-starter, a go-getter, and a get-it-done team member
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments, being hands on and experienced in startup companies is a plus
  • Ability to evaluate and negotiate complex proposals and paid opportunities
  • You tolerate ambiguity, are adaptable, and can collaborate cross-functionally to achieve your results. Most importantly, you demonstrate problem-solving leadership
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload and manage changes in direction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The US national base salary range for this full-time position is $88,000 - $147,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
