Sr Machine Learning Scientist

Espressive Inc. in Santa Clara, CA seeks Sr Machine Learning Scientist. Mentor team of machine learning engineers and data scientists. Work across collaboratively with product managers and designers to improve and determine product scope. Impact the growth, efficiency, and reliability of Barista. Design and build classifiers that can cover a large number of generic use cases. Design and build the data pipelines to train the machine learning algorithms. Design and build language processing modules that can infer intention. Perform analysis on large datasets to discover valuable insights. Create and manage RESTful APIs to meet product requirements. Optimize your code to ensure scalability and performance. Write unit tests against newly created components to keep code coverage up. Work with other back-end developers to solve complex challenges together as a team. Collaborate with our front-end team to ensure APIs meet requirements for delivering a great user experience. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to validate and resolve bugs. Work with the product/UX team to address challenges in a production application. 100% telecommuting from home allowed from anywhere in the United States. Salary: 232,690.00/year.

Must possess a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must also possess experience with: (1) Search engine technologies (Information Retrieval, Lucene, Solr, and Elasticsearch); (2) Natural Language Processing (NLP); (3) Applied machine learning and artificial intelligence with open-source libraries (Scikit-learn and TensorFlow); (4) Training, evaluating, customizing, and optimizing Machine Learning (ML) algorithms; (5) Analyzing service ticket data to identify automation opportunities; (6) Python development with standard libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, Junit, Pandas, or protocol buffers; (7) Angular Typescript and Javascript; (8) Relational Database skills (MySQL, Oracle, IBM DB2, Postgres, and Microsoft SQL Server); (9) Designing relational database schemas and tuning database queries; (10) Developing applications based on web technologies such as REST and Javascript; (11) Python-based web frameworks such as Django or Flask; (12) Incorporating human feedback into machine learning algorithms; and (13) Analyzing experiment data collected from user studies.
