About the Role:
The Clinical Instructor (Therapy) is an experienced mental health clinician responsible for the development and delivery of clinical training for Equip’s provider teams. The Clinical Instructor (Therapy) will have a specific focus on training around the treatment of avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder and utilization of CBT-AR. This role is a highly collaborative role and as part of Equip’s provider training program will work closely with Clinical Training & Supervision team leadership, other Clinical Instructors, Training Operations, Instructional Designers, and Care Delivery leaders. The role’s responsibilities will include designing highly effective live and e-learning training courses and resources, providing live video review and feedback sessions, short term supervision, training evaluation for Equip’s team of multidisciplinary providers.
The Clinical Instructor (Therapy) is engaging interpersonally, has excellent public speaking skills, works well in teams, is experienced in a variety of training modalities (e.g., didactic, role play, tape review, supervision), and motivated by the ultimate goal of training providers to deliver high quality evidence-based treatments for eating disorders so that everyone can achieve lasting recovery.
For this position, the Clinical Instructor (Therapy) must demonstrate proficiency in the treatment of avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of team leadership, design and deliver live, internal trainings for a multidisciplinary team of providers, including mental health professionals, registered dietitians, peer support workers, and medical professionals.
- Collaborate with Care Delivery leaders and Equip providers to identify training needs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in collaboration with Instructional Designers to provide clinical content for e-learning courses.
- Design, update and iterate on training materials and resources to support live trainings and e-learning courses.
- Provide clinical supervision to new, onboarding providers.
- Review session recordings and deliver live feedback to providers.
- Complete administrative tasks related to the scheduling and organization of Equip training sessions, tracking of new provider performance metrics, evaluation of Equip providers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in a clinical mental health field.
- Licensed in a clinical mental health field (PhD, PsyD, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, etc.).
- Minimum of 1 year of post-licensure supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated completion of training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (CBT-AR).
- Minimum of 2 years of practice in delivering Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (CBT-AR).
- Experience in the use of evidence-based treatment for other eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and/or binge eating disorder.
- Demonstrated experience leading live trainings, either in-person or online.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Strong public speaking skills.
- Proven ability to use Powerpoint or Google Slides.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, subject to rapid change and innovation.
Physical Demands
Work is performed 100% from home with no requirement to travel. This is a stationary position that requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards as well as to talk or hear by telephone. Sit or stand as needed.
