Reporting to: Chief Technology Officer (CTO) based in the USA. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic VP of Software Engineering and Corporate Technology to lead and manage our engineering team in Hyderabad, India. As the VP of Engineering, you will be responsible for managing engineering accountability, delivery on time and within budget, team morale, and working closely with Agile PMO, Enterprise Architecture and DevOps. You will also be collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain the necessary corporate technology to make Envoy more efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of software engineers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of software products and services.
  • Collaborate with the Agile PMO team to develop and manage the engineering roadmap, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement among the engineering team.
  • Work closely with the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure that the software products and services are aligned with the overall business strategy and architecture.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure that the software products and services are scalable, reliable, and secure.
  • Develop and manage the engineering budget, ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately and effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and vendors.

To apply for this role, you should possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in managing software engineering teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Experience in developing and managing software engineering budgets.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with remote teams across different time zones.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
