Master QC Technician - Weekend Shift (US)

The Role:
The main goal of this role is to review client source material to determine if any visual or audible issues are present within the supplied media elements. These types of evaluations require a high level of technical skill and extreme attention to detail. The content being reviewed is of the highest quality and extremely costly, as such this employee must take extreme care when performing this vital quality control process.
This person will be working with the Manager of the Mastering Operations, and the wider Eikon Operations team.
Main duties:
- Review and reporting of client supplied media files, including but not limited to: High level IMF content, ProRes media files, ProTools media files, etc.
- Engaging with client structured reporting ecosystems; such as the Netflix Branded QC Platform.
- Discussions with both internal Eikon Account Management teams, as well as some engagements with client designated personnel as warranted by specific projects
- Assisting with or fully handling complex and/or time sensitive tasks
Technical Development
- Utilization of multiple Media review applications, i.e. DaVinci Resolve, Avid ProTools, Cinecert’s Clipster, Colorfront’s Transkoder, Vantage, etc.
- Engagement with internal Eikon project management system
- Keep up to date with industry developments, tools and techniques
- Working with Head of Mastering and Audio QC Manager for UAT testing for QC; hardware and software revisions – documenting reports
- Develop skills and knowledge in other disciplines to enhance overall understanding of industry practices. Including, but not limited to, theatrical DCP content, streaming, broadcast, and post-production processes and services, commonly used software etc.

- Provide technical insight and advise account managers of the best solutions for clients
- Identify patterns and problem areas and implement effective solutions to increase efficiency
- Effectively manage the large number of task-orientated deadlines and demands required of the department
- Completion of ad-hoc project work as specified by your manager.
- Willingness and capability to troubleshoot complex problems.
- Project tracking and delivery through our in-house systems
- Ensure that work is delivered to EIKON's global standards, on time with quality and precision at scale
Minimum Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years within the Media and Entertainment field, specifically in the MASTER QC process
- Thorough understanding of NLE ecosystems (such as DaVinci Resolve, AVID Pro Tools, Adobe Premiere, etc.)
- Valid right to work in the US
Working Hours
- 7am to 7pm: either Friday through Sunday or Saturday through Monday
This is an in-house position, on-site in our Burbank office.
