The role of Senior Master QC Technician is extremely important at EIKON. You will be responsible for high-level QC assessment of high-profile content from major OTT clients, implementing quality control techniques and workflows for all aspects of downstream QC, as well as training newer groups of operators. This person will be required to have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience as a quality control media review specialist, or with an equivalent level of experience in a directly related capacity.
In this role you will also work closely with the Head of Master QC to validate that processes and workflows are being maintained across all operational shifts you are currently assigned to.
Primary Responsibilities:
- High-level quality control of feature and episodic video and audio content from high-profile OTT clients
- Assisting with or fully handling complex and/or time sensitive tasks
- Coordinating workflows across multiple projects simultaneously. The high-level quality control of feature and episodic video and audio content from high-profile OTT clients
- Creation of proxies, reference files, and final deliverables for platform
- Quality checking internally generated assets
- Creation of QC reports and other associated paperwork
- Use of tools for creation of light-level reports, IMF validation, audio level measurement, Dolby Vision validation, PSE and FPA, and related processes
- Assist with archiving of final approved asset
- Assist with training of Operators in Quality Control and Compliance Reporting
Strategy and Technical Development
- An interest in industry developments, tools and techniques
- Develop skills and knowledge in other relevant disciplines to enhance overall understanding of industry practices. Including, but not limited to, streaming, broadcast, and post-production processes and services, commonly used software etc
- Liaising with the Head of Master QC to manage the transition of work through the building on a day-to-day basis.
Project Planning, Maintenance and Delivery
- Effectively manage the large number of task-orientated deadlines and demands required of the department
- Completion of ad-hoc project work as specified by your manager.
- Willingness and capability to troubleshoot complex problems.
- Project tracking and delivery through our in-house systems
- Ensure that work is delivered to EIKON's global standards, on time with quality and precision at scale
Minimum Qualifications
2 to 3 years experience
Valid right to work in the US
Working Hours
7am to 4pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
The candidate should be willing to work outside of these hours based on business requirements
