Global IT Manager (UK)

We are seeking an experienced Global IT Manager to oversee and drive the design, implementation, and operation of IT systems across our international infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Active Directory / Entra ID, Microsoft 365, network services (DNS/DHCP), server infrastructure, and automation. You will lead global IT initiatives, ensure operational resilience, and deliver secure, scalable systems that support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee global IT infrastructure including Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, corporate file servers (DFSR), virtualization platforms, and backup systems.
  • Microsoft 365 Administration: Manage Microsoft 365 tenant configuration, security, licensing, and integration with on-premise and cloud systems.
  • Systems Deployment: Implement and maintain device deployment solutions such as Autopilot, PXE/FOG, or similar technologies to streamline provisioning and configuration.
  • Server & Virtualization Oversight: Administer hypervisors (Nutanix, Hyper-V, or Proxmox), and manage lifecycle operations including patching, capacity, and monitoring.
  • Security & Compliance: Assist in the implementation of security controls, endpoint protection, and identity management solutions in accordance with best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Network Security: Familiarity with Fortinet products (e.g FortiGate, FortiSwitch) to deploy security profiles
  • Automation & Scripting: Utilize Ansible and other automation tools to standardize configurations, deploy updates, and reduce manual administrative tasks.
  • Linux & Windows Administration: Manage and support mixed-environment servers (Windows Server, RHEL/Rocky Linux), ensuring uptime, performance, and reliability.
  • Remote Access & Applications: Configure and maintain RemoteApps/PAM solutions and secure remote access solutions for global users.
  • Monitoring & Recovery: Maintain enterprise-grade backup and recovery solutions and manage hardware lifecycle through iDrac/ILO systems.
  • Team & Vendor Management: Coordinate with regional IT teams and vendors to ensure consistent support and service delivery across all locations.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Proven experience in a senior IT infrastructure, ideally in a global or multi-site environment.
  • Deep technical expertise with:
    • Active Directory, Group Policy, Entra ID / Azure AD
    • DNS, DHCP, DFSR
    • Microsoft 365 administration and security
    • Virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V)
    • Backup and DR solutions
    • Windows Server & Linux (RHEL/Rocky)
    • Automation tools (Ansible, PowerShell, Bash)
    • Deployment technologies (Autopilot, FOG, MDT)
    • RemoteApp / RDS / PAM
    • iDrac / iLO / IPMI
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, security principles, and identity management.
  • Experience leading infrastructure projects, migrations, and security implementations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple global initiatives with minimal supervision.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Enterprise Administrator Expert
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent Linux certification
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud environments
  • Familiarity with CI/CD or infrastructure-as-code principles
  • Fortinet NSE Certified

The role will be based at our Soho, London premise. Working hours are 9:30am to 6:00pm; however, the candidate should be willing to work outside of these hours based on business requirements.
