About Doss

DOSS is building an Operations Cloud for the real world. We deliver a modern, AI-native platform that helps physical product businesses manage the flow of goods, dollars, and data across procurement, inventory, orders, fulfillment, and finance in real time. Purpose-built to replace spreadsheet chaos and rigid, consultant-heavy ERP implementations, DOSS delivers fast time-to-value and stays adaptable as a business evolves. Through our Adaptive Resource Platform (ARP) and unified operational data model, teams can deploy quickly, automate workflows, and make changes without months of re-implementation. We recently raised a $55M Series B co-led by Madrona and Premji Invest, with participation from Intuit Ventures, Theory Ventures, General Catalyst, Contrary Capital, and Pathlight VC. DOSS is trusted by fast-growing operators to run critical operations with speed, control, and confidence.

About the Role

Doss's PMO team is the core engine of DOSS and the success of our customers. The Portfolio Manager sits at the intersection of product, data, operations, implementation, and customer partnership — leading a small team of PMO ICs while staying deeply hands-on yourself.

You'll own a portfolio of Doss's most complex, high-value client relationships and lead your team through the full post-sales lifecycle:

  • Discovery: partnering with cross-functional client leadership to analyze operational and financial workflows (flow of goods, information, and money)

  • Product Design: data model, workflows, and integrations

  • Build/Configure on the DOSS/ERP platform

  • UAT and Go-live

You'll manage a small team of PMOs, setting the standard for quality and pace while staying in the weeds alongside your team. This is a player-coach role - you're not just directing, you're doing.

Our Approach to Development

DOSS operates like a sports team, not a family — we're building the '96 Bulls. We run aggressive coaching and performance management because we believe in accelerating careers by 10x, not 10%.

Every 6 months, we run a lightweight review process (DIPS) where team members are scored, ranked, and identified for promotion and compensation increases. Our first cohorts saw compensation increases ranging from 35–85% with an average of >50% — because when you deliver results and grow rapidly, we recognize it immediately.

This isn't painful — it's clarifying and energizing, especially for people who like winning. If you want the Rec League, go work somewhere else. But if you want to sharpen yourself against other A+ players and compress a decade of learning into a few years, this is the place.

What You'll Do

  • Lead a small team of PMOs across a portfolio of upper mid-market and enterprise clients — you're accountable for team output, client outcomes, and individual development

  • Stay hands-on across the e2e post-sales lifecycle: discovery, design, implementation, and go-live — this is a player-coach role and you'll be in the work, not above it

  • Own the success of Doss's most complex client relationships; your portfolio is a direct reflection of your team's execution

  • Conduct and lead cross-functional deep dives across customer organizations to map end-to-end business processes and workflows

  • Drive and contribute to new product capabilities that support Doss's push to upper mid-market and enterprise

  • Set the standard for best-in-class practices and processes across the team — build what doesn't exist, improve what does

  • Translate process flows into product design and configuration within the DOSS platform

  • Partner with technical teams on integrations and data migrations

  • Lead UAT, training, and go-live support across your portfolio; build relationships that drive retention and expansion

  • Coach your ICs on client management, problem-solving frameworks, and delivery quality — and create the feedback loops that accelerate their growth

  • Drive automation and AI-forward improvements to Doss's product and customer lifecycle processes — we're an AI-native company and team

What We're Looking For

  • 6+ years experience in engineering, consulting, finance, operations, product operations, or technical program management — with at least some time leading or mentoring others; ERP experience is a plus, not a requirement

  • Systems Thinker. Everything in our business is highly interconnected across people, process, and technology. You can traverse it, untangle it, and put it back together — and you can teach others to do the same.

  • Player-Coach Mentality. You lead by doing. You're not the person who delegates everything and manages from a distance — you roll up your sleeves, model the work, and hold the bar.

  • High-Intensity. You've thrived in high-pressure environments — startups, consulting, finance — and that's a real preference, not a stated one.

  • Technical from 1st Principles. You can grok hard engineering and logic problems from intuition, not memorization — and you can break them down for your team.

  • Intellectual Firepower. You cut through noise, synthesize fast, and make good calls under ambiguity.

  • Strong analytical mindset; SQL experience is a plus (not required)

What You'll Get

  • Competitive salary + meaningful equity

  • 100% Coverage for individuals Premium medical, dental & vision coverage

  • 401(k), immediate eligibility

  • Lunch in-office 5 days/week (and dinner when needed)

  • Flexible/unlimited PTO

  • Commuter (BART/MUNI/CalTrain) and equipment stipends

  • Wellness & Fitness stipend

  • Generous parental leave

  • Relocation assistance available

  • In-office culture in San Francisco
