Discord is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team! You will have the opportunity to play a key role in helping develop world-class processes to support our accounting and close functions while operating in a growing environment. We are looking for an individual who is excited to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrates strong communication skills and collaborates well with others.

What you'll be doing

• Gather and analyze data needed to prepare journal entries in various areas such as expense accruals, payroll, foreign exchange revaluations, consolidations, and more with quick turn-around time and high accuracy
• Reconcile balance sheet reconciliations, including independent research of all items to ensure completeness in assigned accounts
• Prepare monthly flux analysis for areas of responsibility
• Combine GAAP accounting knowledge, operational experience, and critical thinking to problem-solving effectively in respective responsibilities
• Support external audit requests for annual audit
• Perform ad hoc projects as requested

What you should have

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of experience in accounting
• Familiarity with Oracle and BlackLine
• Strong Excel spreadsheet skills (pivot tables, index(match), xlookup, multiple criteria sumproduct, etc.)
• Ability to operate in a rapidly evolving, highly transactional and data driven role
• You challenge the old ways of doing things and enjoy changing the status quo to optimize process and drive continuous improvement in yourself and within your function
• Posses effective project management skills

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $109,000 to $117,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
