Job Description

A bit about this role:

We are planning to deliver the best care for consumers in healthcare - and that’s going to require some new and better tools, and some new and better data analytics. Most healthcare teams don’t have the tools and data they want at their fingertips. Their systems are siloed, high latency, and transaction focused… all of which make it difficult to move healthcare to a world where we pay for value and care for members seamlessly. So while we are gearing up to deliver outstanding care, we are also building the tools that the whole industry needs to transition to better care instead of just more care. This will be the first platform of its kind in healthcare.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager with a strong background in healthcare, especially with experience in the payer/insurance sector. The ideal candidate should have a track record of quickly acquiring knowledge of new domains, a proven ability to dissect highly complex problems, and demonstrated successful partnership with operational stakeholders to scale and achieve targeted operational outcomes using a data-driven approach. In this role, you will have the opportunity to radically scale our claims, benefits and provider services function.

Your responsibilities and impact will include:

  • Partner closely with business operations and technology teams to define key objectives, KPIs, and opportunities for technology-driven improvements.

  • Develop and execute an outcome-driven technology roadmap to scale and optimize our bids & benefits management, claims processing, and provider services functions.

  • Own prioritization and execution of technical improvements, collaborating cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and data teams to drive business impact.

  • Manage the product improvement backlog, ensuring clear articulation of business requirements, defining epics and user stories, and aligning technical investments with strategic goals.

  • Leverage analytics to drive decisions, using data to identify inefficiencies, surface opportunities, and track the success of initiatives.

  • Drive continuous improvement by proactively identifying and executing against pain points, automation opportunities, and process enhancements.

Required skills & experience:

  • 7+ years of product management or product development experience.

  • Experience in an insurance health plan organization, preferably in the benefits management, claims processing and provider services functions.

  • A proven track record of working side-by-side with business operations, engineering and data to successfully achieve business outcomes through technology investment and/or process improvements.

  • Excellent communication skills, as you will need to work with a highly cross-functional team; and possess strong ability to clearly articulate needs, objectives, priorities, and strategy in writing

  • A super proactive, execution-oriented, “get it done” attitude — and the skills to back it up. You love the details, and your organizational skills are a strong suit.

  • Strong analytical skills; you love digging into data and making data-driven decisions. SQL proficiency is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated success of identifying a problem/opportunity, breaking it down into manageable chunks, clearly articulating success criteria, landing a potential solution; and the ability to prioritize and communicate the plan clearly.

  • Ability to manage a wide array of stakeholder groups; including the ability to listen and solicit carefully and synthesize all their input into an action plan, then communicate it back to them — and eventually, the whole company.
