The Team

At Deliveroo, it is our mission to transform the way you shop and eat, bringing the neighbourhood to your door by connecting consumers, restaurants, shops and riders. To do that, we're building a company where everyone can belong, grow and do the best work of their lives.

The U.K. & Ireland is our domestic and most mature market. Departments include commercial, operations and marketing, and teams in the UK&I work with global departments such as product, technology and consumer. The Merchant Operations team sits within the EU Operations department and is focused on improving the experience of our customers when they place an order from our largest and highest volume restaurant and grocery merchants.

The Role

As a Senior Merchant Operations Associate, you will play a crucial role in delivering analysis, managing projects, and nurturing relationships with merchants. You will work autonomously, with support and guidance, to deliver analysis and projects. You will be the subject matter expert for service and operations for the Small and Medium business merchants. Additionally, you will be the operational point of contact for our Express Team, who manage Deliveroo’s white-label solution that allows our merchants to offer on-demand delivery directly through their own online channels.

  • Deliver impactful projects

  • Support the Express team with operational and merchant queries

  • Identify, design and implement AI and automation solutions to improve efficiency.

  • Support the standardisation and rollout of processes across European markets.

  • Support the reporting to deliver actionable commercial insights.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience in an analytical role, ideally in a fast paced environment.

  • Analytical - proficient in data analysis (Looker & spreadsheet modelling is beneficial), and especially able to draw clear, actionable conclusions from large datasets.

  • Communication - excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas into easy to understand outputs, and adapt to different audiences. Confident presentation style, with experience delivering presentations to various audiences.

  • Inquisitive - infectiously curious and happy to question the status-quo. A proactive attitude towards learning and professional development.

  • Project management - experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders in a structured and logical way to ensure you’re always delivering the right work at the right time. Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholder groups.

Preferred, but not required

Why Deliveroo

Our mission is to transform the way you shop and eat, bringing the neighbourhood to your door by connecting consumers, restaurants, shops and riders. We are transforming the way the world eats and shops by making access to food and products more convenient and enjoyable. We give people the opportunity to buy what they want, as they want it, when and where they want it.

We are a technology-driven company at the forefront of the most rapidly expanding industry in the world. We are still a small team, making a very large impact, looking to answer some of the most interesting questions out there. We move fast, value autonomy and ownership, and we are always looking for new ideas.

Workplace & Benefits

At Deliveroo we know that people are the heart of the business and we prioritise their welfare. Benefits differ by country, but we offer many benefits in areas including healthcare, well-being, parental leave, pensions, and generous annual leave allowances, including time off to support a charitable cause of your choice. Benefits are country-specific, please ask your recruiter for more information.

Diversity

At Deliveroo, we believe a great workplace is one that represents the world we live in and how beautifully diverse it can be. That means we have no judgement when it comes to any one of the things that make you who you are - your gender, race, sexuality, religion or a secret aversion to coriander. All you need is a passion for (most) food and a desire to be part of one of the fastest-growing businesses in a rapidly growing industry.

We are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion in all aspects of our hiring process. We recognise that some candidates may require adjustments to apply for a position or fairly participate in the interview process. If you require any adjustments, please don't hesitate to let us know. We will make every effort to provide the necessary adjustments to ensure you have an equitable opportunity to succeed.
