About the team
The BOSS team (Business Operations & Supply Strategy) sits at the core of Deliveroo’s Commercial organisation. If Sales and Account Management are the engine of the commercial machine, BOSS is the cockpit: steering priorities, setting direction, enabling scale, and introducing the right level of friction to ensure quality and sustainability.
As the Commercial department has doubled in size, the need for strong operational foundations has become critical. The Commercial Operations Specialist will play a key role in enabling our Sales and Account Management teams to perform at their best, by streamlining processes, building simple and effective tools, and ensuring operational excellence across the commercial perimeter.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working close to the business, translating strategy into execution, and acting as a bridge between commercial teams, systems, and data.
About the role
As a Commercial Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Designing, building, and maintaining easy-to-use operational tools and workflows to support Sales and Account Management teams
Streamlining and standardising commercial processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
Acting as a day-to-day operational partner for Account Managers and Sales teams, supporting them with execution, troubleshooting, and best practices
Performing regular analyses to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities to improve the functioning of the Commercial department
Owning cyclical operational processes, ensuring deadlines are met and data quality is consistently high
Acting as a gatekeeper for supply hygiene, ensuring tools, processes, and inputs are used correctly and consistently
Evangelising best practices across the commercial organisation, driving adoption and correct usage of tools and processes
Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams (e.g. Operations, Product, Finance, Systems) to ensure alignment and smooth execution
Requirements
3–4 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Account Management, Sales Operations, Project Management, or a role closely supporting commercial teams
Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to use it as a working tool for operational execution, not just analysis
Strong hands-on mindset: practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning processes end to end
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and run recurring operational processes
Strong communication skills and confidence working closely with commercial teams
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and short turnaround times
Problem-solving attitude, with the ability to simplify complexity and turn insights into action
