Senior Manager, Asset Protection and Safety

Applications are open until January 5th when we will start reviewing applications.

About the Role

We’re seeking a strategic, execution-driven Senior Manager of Asset Protection and Safety to design, implement, and scale safety and security programs across Deliveroo Hop’s micro-fulfillment and last-mile operations in Europe, and the Middle East across Deliveroo/Wolt & Doordash. This role is central to ensuring that our teams operate in safe, compliant, and risk-mitigated environments, where safety is not reactive but a fundamental part of how we operate. You’ll partner with cross-functional stakeholders across operations, legal, compliance, and workplace teams to build frameworks that protect people, assets, and brand reputation while enabling rapid growth in complex and highly regulated markets. You'll work in a global team reporting into leaders in Doordash US working as a truly global team in this new team based out of London.

You are excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Lead the EMEA safety and asset protection strategy for Deliveroo Hop, embedding safety and security into the DNA of our fulfillment and delivery operations.

  • Build and scale programs that meet or exceed diverse EMEA regulatory standards from EU directives and UK HSE requirements to region-specific labor, fire, and environmental health and safety mandates.

  • Drive a proactive safety culture by empowering site leaders and frontline teams through training, engagement, and ownership of local safety outcomes.

  • Develop and enforce operational SOPs that reduce workplace incidents, improve reporting accuracy, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Strengthen physical security infrastructure, leveraging technology, audits, and best practices to reduce internal and external theft, damage, and misappropriation.
Conduct risk and threat assessments across markets to ensure consistent loss prevention, business continuity, and crisis management readiness.

  • Partner with business leaders to integrate safety and loss prevention into the operating model from expansion planning and vendor management to day-to-day site execution.

  • Leverage analytics and incident data to identify emerging risks, measure impact, and inform regional strategy decisions.

We are excited about you because you bring…

  • 8+ years of experience in asset protection, safety, loss prevention, or security operations, ideally within retail, logistics, e-commerce, or fulfillment environments.

  • A track record of leading multi-country or regionally distributed teams across diverse regulatory and cultural landscapes.

  • Experience working in hyper-growth or startup environments, where speed, adaptability, and execution matter.

  • Deep understanding of regional safety and compliance frameworks, including EU HSE standards, OSHA (where applicable), ISO 45001, and local employment laws.

  • Proven ability to investigate incidents, perform root cause analyses, and execute corrective action plans.

  • Strong communication in English and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both field operators and executive leadership.

  • A data-driven mindset, using metrics to prioritize risk mitigation, measure loss prevention impact, and optimize safety outcomes.
