The Rider Operations Team is the foundation of our business. One of the most crucial roles they play is with regard to the sourcing and onboarding of our Riders to service the demands of our growing Restaurant, Grocery & Retail Partner, and Customer base.

Deliveroo continues to experience tremendous growth and with this growth have come challenges with ensuring that we always have the right amount of Riders on the roads at the right times and in the right places.

We find Rider supply challenges in multiple locations and for multiple reasons. To solve this problem we are looking for an individual to join our Rider Engagement Team in the role of Senior Rider Onboarding Associate.

As a Senior Rider Onboarding Associate, you will be field based, on the ground, interacting with our Rider applicants directly at our in-person Rider onboarding events and contributing to ensuring that our Rider Fleet is always well resourced in all areas and at all times.

HEADLINES:

  • Evolve the format and structure of our current in-person Rider onboarding events to streamline process efficacy pre, during & post event

  • Work closely with Rider Support, Product, Onboarding Teams to troubleshoot issues whilst feeding in on the ground intel to improve process longer term

  • Design process for bringing the in-person Rider onboarding events into our Deliveroo HQ to bring to life the issues faced by Rider applicants in front of internal stakeholders

  • Plan the roadmap for the 12 month plan for our in-person Rider onboarding and lead the execution of the this whilst ensuring a focus on time & cost efficiency

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Field based, on the ground role, remote role with significant travel, ~9 months of the year

  • Travel to across UKI as required and carry out in-person Rider onboarding sessions

  • Representing the Deliveroo brand and Rider Operations Team at all times

  • Ensure supply of Riders in hard-to-supply areas is always sufficient

  • Plan effectively for peak / seasonal trading periods to ensure we stay ahead of demand

  • Work with the Supply Team to develop ways of working to accurately forecast Rider demand

  • Work with the Rider Onboarding Team to evolve and iterate Rider onboarding process

  • Become the ‘go-to’ and subject matter expert in all areas of the Rider onboarding process

  • Identify and work to resolve ‘paper cuts’ and blocks in systems and processes used

  • Work collaboratively with the Content & Engagement Team to add to Rider value proposition

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in relevant space, tech, start up, food aggregator

  • A self-starter attitude that’s able to quickly adapt to changing processes and priorities

  • Responsible individual comfortable using own initiative and, at times, working solo

  • Ability to influence and work with multiple internal and external stakeholders

  • An empathetic attitude with strong listening and communication skills, Portuguese / Arabic

  • Familiarity with GSuite, Slack, Looker & Salesforce tooling.

  • Willingness to travel early, and late, in order to be self-sufficient when in the field.

  • Full driving license that is valid in UKI

  • Access to own vehicle for journeys to locations where public transport is not available

INCLUDED

  • All travel (inc mileage on own vehicle) and accommodation expenses will be paid by the company when in the field.
