About the role:
The Sales Development function is responsible for bringing the best grocery stores, convenience retailers, and ODC (On-Demand Convenience) partners in Qatar onto the Deliveroo platform. As an ODC SDR, you’ll be responsible for identifying, pitching, and onboarding top-tier grocery and convenience brands — from independent shops to regional chains. You'll be part of a fast-paced, high-growth team, working alongside some of the most driven and enthusiastic professionals in the region. Your work will directly impact Deliveroo’s expansion into the fast-growing e-grocery and convenience sector.
Main Responsibilities
1. Partner Acquisition
Prospect, pitch, and convert high-potential grocery and convenience partners within your territory.
Drive conversations with business owners and operational leads, introducing them to Deliveroo’s proposition and commercial model.
Collaborate closely with Business Development Managers (BDMs) to ensure smooth partner acquisition and handover.
2. Pipeline Management
Own and manage your lead pipeline with discipline and speed.
Use CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to track outreach, follow-ups, and performance metrics.
Work efficiently to meet and exceed monthly acquisition targets.
Sales Process Strategy
Continuously improve our sales strategy by testing new acquisition approaches and providing feedback to the wider commercial team.
Work with internal stakeholders (e.g., onboarding, marketing, account management) to streamline the go-live journey for new partners.
3. Commercial Initiatives
Participate in strategic and commercial initiatives such as city activation campaigns, field pitch days, and partner launch events.
Support partner marketing efforts and offer roll-outs to help new stores gain traction on the platform.
Requirements
BSc/BA in business, sales, or related field preferred
Minimum 2 years of sales or business development experience, preferably in a high-growth environment
Experience in grocery retail, FMCG, or convenience is highly desirable
Proven ability to negotiate and close deals with external stakeholders
Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus
Strong understanding of the Qatari retail or grocery landscape is essential
Self-starter with a target-driven mindset and the ability to work independently
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Fluency in English is a must; Arabic language skills are a strong advantage
