About the team

The Global, Central Plus team is at the heart of Deliveroo. The aim is to drive both the expansion of the Deliveroo Plus subscriber base and ensure long-term engagement and loyalty with existing subscribers. A key company mission is to become a Plus-first business and this role will be critical to this mission.

About the role

We’re looking for a passionate Head of Loyalty Acquisition and Engagement to lead our strategy across the customer lifecycle from acquisition, to activation and engagement across all of our Plus tiers (Diamond, Gold and Silver) to retain our most valued customers and ensure Deliveroo is always their go-to brand. It’s a fast paced, data driven and highly cross functional business, so you’ll need to be creative in your approach, commercially savvy and highly collaborative.

What you’ll be doing

  • Define and execute the overarching Plus Acquisition and Engagement strategy, aligning with the wider business objectives for subscriber growth.

  • Act as the primary link between Plus Product and the Plus Commercial & Marketing teams, ensuring priorities ladder up to the business objectives and there’s alignment on roadmaps.

  • Lead go-to-market strategies for all Central Plus Acquisition & Engagement initiatives including product launches.

  • Lead, mentor and develop a high performing team of Product Marketing Managers, fostering a best-in-class culture for Product Marketing.

  • Drive new customer acquisitions through data-driven targeting, always on marketing (CRM) and strategic promotional initiatives (free trials).

  • Develop and implement engagement strategies for existing customers based on customer segmentation, lifecycle management and the effective use of incentives to drive frequency and retention.

  • Collaborate closely with key marketing stakeholders in Deliveroo’s international markets on centrally led and locally led acquisition and engagement initiatives.

  • Provide robust reporting, bespoke analysis and insights on Plus Acquisition & Engagement metrics to inform decisions and demonstrate impact.

What we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years experience, ideally in high growth consumer facing organisations

  • Experience working in a matrixed organisation, ideally global, including working with product, marketing and insights teams

  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects, including balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders, including HQ teams and local markets.

  • Experienced managing a small team of direct reports

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Go-getter attitude with a metric-driven approach. Self-motivated, an optimist; someone who thrives in a dynamic environment
