The Account Executive, ENT, is responsible for driving sales growth by building and nurturing relationships with large, strategic clients. This role focuses on understanding client needs, presenting tailored solutions, and negotiating contracts to secure new business and expand existing accounts. Working alongside other sales team members, marketing professionals, and customer success teams, this role is essential for driving significant revenue and positioning the organization as a trusted partner in the industry.
Responsibilities
Own a targeted Enterprise account list and develop detailed account plans for winning business with companies of 2,000+ employees, including major Japanese enterprises.
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Build and maintain a robust pipeline through individual outreach, collaboration with your SDR, and management of inbound prospects.
Navigate large, complex Japanese enterprises—mapping stakeholders, building champions, generating buy-in, and closing deals with C-suite decision makers.
Manage, complex sales cycles typical of Japan’s regulated Enterprise environment, including responding to and managing RFPs.
Position both Japan-based EOR and International EOR solutions, addressing legislative concerns that often impact Enterprise adoption in Japan.
Identify opportunities around global payroll and expat hiring—major revenue drivers for large multinationals with Japan operations.
Leverage strong compliance and regulatory understanding to educate customers on market constraints, risks, and viable solutions.
Keep Salesforce up to date with customer information, forecasts, and pipeline data to support forecasting accuracy and sales process improvement.
Collaborate closely with the Country Manager and broader sales team in a multi-segment model (SMB → Enterprise), supporting cross-segment initiatives where needed.
Qualifications
4+ years selling in the Enterprise segment, in Japan.
Proven track record of developing greenfield territories and winning net-new logos in an Enterprise SaaS role.
Mandatory SaaS sales experience; candidates with backgrounds at payroll/HR tech companies Ideal.
Hands-on experience writing, managing, and navigating RFP processes for large, complex organizations.
Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with senior executives in Fortune 5000/global enterprise accounts.
Experience selling into highly regulated markets or working with compliance-heavy products; familiarity with employment regulations, EOR challenges, or global payroll is a strong plus.
Strong understanding of global workforce, expatriate employment, or international hiring dynamics is highly advantageous.
